(Season 1)
CHAPTER 51
Kalen’s voice cut through the silence, low and deadly. He usually sits back on anything that has to do with tenebrous or the vampires. But with Ivory in danger, he couldn't risk it. He has enough guilt, because he never went back. Not even when Zach told him about her vision and the price for each vision she had.
“Where’s the Life Stone, Ellen?” His eyes pinned her down, no room for hesitation. Ellen swallowed hard, fingers twisting in her lap.
“I… I don’t know. The prophecy didn’t say. But who ever want to bring dekker back to life is after it.”Ellen answered. Rhine spoke up, her voice calm but laced with urgency.
“We need to secure the Life Stone before they gets to it. Any ideas where it could be?”Zach leaned forward.
“Legends say it’s hidden where life begins – could be Tenebrous, could be somewhere else entirely.”Kalen’s expression turned glacial, a flicker of something unreadable crossing his face.
“We can’t risk anything. Zach, go back to tenebrous... Make sure Ivory is safe. Ryan and caius dig into the legends – find out everything about the Life Stone.”Kai frowned, sensing something off.
“ You’re not gonna—”Kalen cut him off, voice cold. Of course he know what Kai was about to ask and he doesn't want to hear it.
“I’ll stay here. Kai, you and zod go to Tenebrous. Find out who this person is.”Zach’s eyes narrowed, picking up on Kalen’s tone.
“Kalen, you—”Kalen’s gaze silenced him.
“Do it. Now.”The room buzzed with unspoken tension. Kai glanced at Zach, then back to Kalen.
“We’ll handle it.”As they turned to leave, Ellen spoke up, voice low.
“Kalen, be careful. The prophecy… it’s not just about Dekker.”Kalen’s eyes locked onto hers, a hint of warning in them. He did not answer. He did not have to. He knew this was going to happen... He knew dekker was going to come back and it would be his problem too. We wasn't scared to face dekker or what ever forces that is backing him up. Kalen had been ready since forever.
But he can't go back to tenebrous, not now. Maybe because he wasn't ready to face the past or maybe because it wasn't just the right time to make an entrance.

Liora stepped out of her room and she noticed the house was quiet, maybe too quiet. Where did everyone go to?. She walked down the hallway but no sound not even from Travis the chef... What is going on?.
She came to a stop right in front of kalen's study. For a second she wanted to turn her back and walk away but curiosity. She saw Lucas handing a file to Kalen earlier...... She was so sure it has something to do with her father's where about. She was curious and scared at the same time.....
"I will just go in, have a peek and come out.... It can't be that hard. Right?" she asked herself. She let out a sigh and decided to go in. No one seems to be in the house anyways.......
She stepped into the room quietly and the file was right there on the table. She frown. She never thought it would be so easy. This looks too good to be true, did Kalen leave the file on the table because he knew she was going to come?
She ignored the the feeling and was about to pick the file, but she was Interrupted by a sound. Where is that sound coming from?. She tried to ignore it but the sound came again..... She look round but she could not find anyone.
The sound came again, this time it came from the book shalf. She stepped closer but there was nothing strange about it.
Liora's heart was racing as she approached the bookshelf, her eyes scanning the rows of dusty tomes. The sound came again, a faint whispering, and this time, she noticed something off. The books on the middle shelf seemed... slightly ajar. She reached out a trembling hand and pushed against the books, and to her surprise, the shelf swung open, revealing a hidden compartment. She was so shocked, why is there a secret passage in kalen's study?.
Liora's breath caught in her throat as she stepped into the hidden door, her heart pounding in her chest. The darkness swallowed her whole, and she fumbled for a moment, unsure of what to do next. The air was thick with the scent of old books and dust, and she could feel the weight of the secret space pressing down on her. As she took a tentative step forward, the door creaked shut behind her, plunging her into total darkness. The groan echoed again, followed by the unmistakable sound of chains rattling, and Liora's skin crawled. She tried to call out, but her voice was trapped in her throat.
Liora's phone trembled in her hand, casting a shaky beam of light around the dark space. The light landed on the figure shackled to the wall, and her breath hitched. Her eyes widened in horror as she realized... it Kalen..... Bruises marred his face, and his lips were cracked and dry. He looked like he'd been through hell. The chains rattled as he strained against them, his gaze locking onto Liora, and she felt a chill run down her spine.
Liora's grip on her phone tightened as the light revealed Kalen's battered face. His eyes, once sharp and calculating, now blazed with a fierce, otherworldly red glow. The chains binding him to the wall seemed to pulse with an evil energy, and his bruised lips twisted into a snarl. For a moment, they locked eyes, and Liora felt a wave of terror wash over her. Kalen's gaze was a warning, a scream of danger and desperation. She took a step back, her heart racing, and his eyes seemed to plead with her... but his voice was a growl,
"You shouldn't be here."Liora froze, her heart pounding in her chest. Kalen's red eyes seemed to burn with a fierce inner struggle, his body straining against the chains. His jaw was clenched, and she could see the effort it took for him to hold back. The warning was clear: he's a danger to her, and he's restraining himself. A low, menacing growl escaped his lips, and Liora took a slow step back, her voice barely above a whisper.
"Kalen... what's happening to you?"Kalen's body arched in agony, his eyes flashing brighter red as he let out a grawling growl, like an invisible blade was slicing through him. The chains creaked, and Liora saw his muscles tense, veins bulging as he fought for control. The growl subsided, leaving him panting, his gaze still locked on hers, warning her to stay away. His lips moved, forming a single, strained word:
"Leave."Liora's fear battled with her compassion, her heart aching at Kalen's pain. She took a step forward, her instincts screaming to comfort him, despite the danger lurking in his eyes.

"Kalen..." she whispered, her voice trembling, "what's going on.... What's happening to you." She ignored the voice in her head warning her to leave, and took another step closer, her arms opening like she wanted to hug away his pain. She had never seen him like this before. He was always composed and emotionally controlled, but That wasn't what she was seeing at all. Kalen's red gaze flashed, and he growled, louder this time, like he was fighting to keep her away.
"No..." he grawled, straining against the chains.Kalen's eyes turned into pure, fiery red as he snapped the chains like they were paper. Liora's breath caught in her throat as he moved, his movements animalistic and fast. Before she could blink, his hand was around her neck, squeezing tight. She tried to scream, but only a choked gasp escaped. His face was no longer Kalen's - it was twisted, feral, with sharp teeth bared in a snarl. The grip tightened, and Liora's vision started to blur...
Kalen's grip on her neck didn't loosen, his eyes burning with a demon's fury. Liora's lungs screamed for air, her vision darkening at the edges. Desperate, she pressed her lips to his, kissing him with all the force she had left. For a heartbeat, his body froze, the demon's grip on him wavering.
