(Season 1)
CHAPTER 47
“ I will kill them all, I promise. Just be safe for me... Please "He said hugging her small figure onto him self. He did not want to leave her but he had no choice.
" I will try my best not to... die or get hurt... Just wait for me. I love you, just remember that "he whispered after tucking her into bed. He smiled bitterly seeing how she frown even in her sleep. He leand closer and place a long kiss on her head. He stared at her face for a long time, like he was trying to memorize every inch of her.
The darkness outside seemed to press in, a palpable weight on the room as Kalen gazed at Lara's sleeping form. His eyes lingered on her face, drinking in the sight of her, his expression etched with a mix of love and sorrow.
He turned away, his footsteps silent as he made his way to the shadows. The air seemed to ripple, and he vanished, leaving behind only the faintest whisper of a promise: "I'll come back to you, Lara."
The night swallowed him whole, leaving behind an oppressive silence, punctuated only by the soft rise and fall of Lara's chest as she slept, unaware of the battle brewing in the darkness beyond her door.

Lara jolt up from her sleep like she just had the worst night mare. She quickly turned to her side, where Kalen was sitting, it was empty and cold. Her heart race in fear and panic... She quickly jumped out of the bed rushing to the door, but it was locked. She tried pushing open using her vampiric strength but that was when she realized Kalen had sealed the door with his powers......
She slide down in tears. The cold reality hit her like a slap, and Lara's tears flowed harder as she slumped against the door. "No, no, no... he wouldn't... he promised..." Her words were a desperate whisper, lost in the emptiness of the room.
She pounded her fist on the door, her vampiric strength shaking the frame, but Kalen's seal held firm. The silence was suffocating, a heavy blanket that threatened to smother her.
Lara's eyes squeezed shut, her mind racing with worst-case scenarios. "Why did he do this... why did he leave me behind?" Her voice was a raw, anguished scream, echoing in the empty room.....
Her heart broke in tiny pieces as the memory of the nightmare she had been having for days crossed her mind. Suddenly the will to leave the room over took her and she kept banging with all her strength.
After a long time, some strong hit like an earthquake. It was strong enough to crack open the seal. That was her opportunity, she gave the door one last bang and shattered....!without wasting time she rushed out into the woods.

Lara kept looking from one body to another as she went deeper into the forest. These were kalen's men, they all fought by his side and they were all gone. Her heart trembled at the thought of not meeting Kalen alive.
The forest grew darker, the shadows twisting into macabre silhouettes of the fallen warriors. Lara's eyes scanned the bodies, her face a mask of grief and fear. Each face she recognized was like a dagger to her heart, the weight of their sacrifice crushing her.
She stumbled upon a familiar figure, his armor torn, a deep gulf in his chest. Lara's breath caught, her vision blurring as she whispered, "Arin..."
The name was a prayer, a lament, as she fell to her knees beside him. Her tears dripped onto his face, mingling with the dirt and blood. "Kalen... where are you?" Her voice was a raw whisper, the forest echoing with her despair. The fight looked like it was over and it seemed they won so where is Kalen?....
As she went deeper she came to a stand still at the scene before her. Alex and the others standing over a lifeless body..... Her gaze traveled to the wrist. The sight of the bracelet made her stumbled back in denial
The air seemed to freeze, and Lara's world narrowed to the single point of the lifeless body. Her eyes clenched shut, a strangled cry escaping her lips. "No... it can't be..."
She stumbled forward, her legs shaking beneath her. The others parted, their faces etched with grief and pity. Lara's gaze was fixed on the bracelet, the one she had given Kalen, now lying still on his wrist.
The silence was oppressive, a heavy weight that crushed her. Lara's vision blurred as she fell to her knees beside Kalen's body. Her hand trembled as she reached out, touching his cold skin. "Kalen... no... please..."
Her world shattered, leaving only shards of pain and despair. The forest, the others, everything faded into the background as Lara crumbled, her heart breaking into a million pieces.
She pulled him into her arms, hugging his lifeless body to herself. She was not ready to believe he would leave her so soon. Lara's grip tightened, her arms a vice around Kalen's body. She buried her face in his chest, her tears soaking his clothes. "No, no, no... this isn't real... you're not gone..." Her voice was a desperate whisper, a prayer, a plea for reality to bend.
Her mind rebelled against the truth, refusing to accept the stillness of his body. "You promised... you promised you'd come back to me..." The words were a raw, anguished scream, lost in the fabric of his clothes.
Lara's body shook with sobs, her heart tearing apart with each beat. She clung to Kalen, her anchor to a reality that no longer made sense. "Stay with me... please... I can't do this without you..." The words were a fragile, broken thing, a shattered prayer to a universe that had taken everything.
Everything was fading, no one tried to take his body away from her, none did they try to comfort her because they knew she has gone beyond that.

Kalen's body was later taken to tenebrous, to the palace....... Every one was gathered to mourn him but not Lara. She was out there searching for a away to bring him back. She was not ready to give up, not just yet........
In her quest she stumbled upon an old witch on her way to Ravenswood...... The old witch corked her walking stick, her eyes piercing as she watched Lara approach.
"Lost, child?" Her voice was like dry leaves rustling in the wind.Lara's eyes blazed with determination.
"I need to bring him back. I won't let him go." Her voice was a low, urgent growl. The witch's gaze lingered, then nodded.
"I know what you seek. The path is treacherous, and the price is steep. Are you willing to pay it?"Lara's jaw set.
"I'll do anything." The words were a vow, a promise to defy the darkness that had taken Kalen. The old witch smiled at her determination. Of course, love has it way of making you think of nothing less but your goal.
The old witch's smile grew wistful, her eyes clouding with memories.
"Love makes us reckless, child. It blinds us to everything but the thought of being whole again." She turned, beckoning Lara to follow. "Come, the path to Ravenswood won't wait. We'll need the ancient texts if we're to have any hope of undoing what's been done."The old witch led Lara through the twisted trees, the canopy above filtering the sunlight into eerie green shadows. They walked in silence, the only sound the rustle of leaves and the creaking of ancient branches.
As they walked, the air grew thick with an otherworldly energy, and Lara could feel the hairs on the back of her neck standing on end. The witch stopped at a massive oak, its trunk twisted with age and power.
"Here," she said, her voice barely above a whisper. "The gateway to Ravenswood. But be warned, child, once we enter, there's no turning back. The cost of bringing back the dead is one you may not be willing to pay."
Lara's eyes locked on the tree, her heart pounding in anticipation. "I'm ready," she said, her voice firm.
The witch nodded and started explaining : "Mortifex . This spell will paralize you, it will cause you so much pain and you might die in the process if you're unable to with stand the pain that comes with using this forbidden spell. That is why it is very dangerous."
