AVA'S POV

Luna and I had managed to escape from the pack at night and now wandering through the woods in search of shelter, the sun was so hot that we became dehydrated. Luna became worried and frustrated.

“We should have stayed behind, Ava," Luna complained, her voice cracked. "Now, we're out here in the middle of nowhere, hungry and thirsty.” Her complaints got me annoyed and gave her a stern look. I never forced you to follow me. I only asked and you agreed."was my reply.

I kept walking but later realized that she had stopped and was now sitting beneath a towering oak tree. I retraced my steps and sat down beside Luna, taking a deep breath.

"Luna," I said, trying to sound convincing. "I understand that this isn't easy for you, but we can't turn back now. We've already come this far and going back will be suicide.”

I then decided to tell her who I was. “I have something to tell you, Luna.” I said and though in her exhausted state, she was ready to listen to me.” I’m not really who you think I am, I can shift into a werewolf and also, I’m not an omega.” She was lost and speechless.

“You are beginning to get me scared, Ava, tell me you are joking, right? I looked into her eyes and smiled. I dropped the bag I held and began to shift into my complete wolf form. Luna stood in awe and watched me transform.” This is incredible, girl, you are different from the werewolves I know, your eyes are glowing like that of a vampire in a wolf form.”

She walked closer to me and touched my white furs. Being a white wolf Is so rare and for me, I felt unique because I felt different from others. Then suddenly, I sensed danger.

“Someone is coming, let's hide,” I whispered. So I changed back to my human form and we both quickly hid behind a big rock, and I was also able to hide our scents. I decided to see who they were.

“Oh no, it’s my uncle’s men, Billy, Mance, and Alex.” I whispered to Luna. My heart was beating so fast as if it would pop out of my chest.

“Come out from wherever you think you are hiding, girls, “Billy’s menacing voice echoed through the trees. We both remained hidden, praying for them not to see us. Unfortunately, a snake slithered up behind us, Luna was very scared of snakes so she became scared.

“Aaaaargh! She screamed and leaped away from our hiding spot, not minding the men who were searching for us. I tried as much as possible to stop her from screaming but I was late. The men had seen us, “Run! I screamed, Luna stood up and took to her hills, running, I was running also behind her but the men were so fast.

Mance was the fastest of them, he swiftly changed to his wolf and was closing in on us. I shifted into my wolf form, my white fur bristling as I turned to Luna and shouted, " Climb onto my back, Luna!"

She did not waste a single second and swiftly climbed onto my back, her arms wrapped around my fur. I took off, running as fast as I could, the wind rushed past us as we passed through the trees.

Afterwards, we were already inside the deep Forest, it was huge and I didn't know where I was heading to. I couldn't sense the men following us any longer, my pace slowed and I allowed Luna to climb down from my back. We both took a moment to catch our breath.

Luna was amazed at my speed. "Ava, that was incredible! I had no idea you could run so fast as a wolf." I smiled, relieved that we had managed to outrun Mance and his men."We need to find a safe place to hide," I said.

"Apart from being a wolf all this while, anything else about you that I don't know, I overheard you say, my uncle's men."

I paused for a while before replying to her, " Alpha Darius is my uncle."

"What the hell! Luna gasped.

"My dad was the Alpha, my mom the queen. But they both had an accident and their car blew up. Ever since they died, my uncle became the new Alpha, and his family took over the pack."

" But how did you become an Omega? Luna being curious.

"I was never an Omega, I only pretended to be wolfless because my mom believed that I wasn't just an ordinary wolf, just like the others. She had deliberately asked me not to shift in the presence of anybody apart from my dad and herself." I narrated.

"Luna hummed. "That's interesting, I think you are special but quite unfortunate." She said, Her statement came out too strong, but It was the bitter truth. I am unlucky.

The evening was fast approaching and we needed a place to rest. Most of all, we were starving. I could not stay for the next hour if I didn't eat but had no hope of feeding.

We kept on walking until we came across a suitable place. There was a flowing stream, we spotted some fruit trees and we could hunt for meat when we needed it. We used some tree branches and leaves to build a small cozy tent for the night.

There we ate some fruits, drank some water from the stream, and decided to lay down a bit and rest.

"You know, leaving the pack with you wasn't bad after all." Luna made it sound like a joke and we both laughed and laid down to rest.

After some moments of peace and tranquility, I perceived Mance's scent. I was about to wake Luna up when he came behind me and ran me over. I fell to the floor and wanted to fight back but Billy and Alex came out from nowhere and held me.

"You are the white wolf huh? Billy asked." How come you became an Omega? They asked.

I never gave them a reply. Luna was asked to sit on the floor, but she hesitated, which got Mance pissed off and he slapped her.

I got angered. "Don't you lay your hands on her again, you fool."

"Or what." They chorused together and started to laugh sarcastically. "By dawn, we'll get you and your friends to the Alpha and he'll decide your fate," Mance said, as kept staring at me lustfully.

It was a full moon, and the werewolf's power was at its peak at the moment. I cannot fight three grown men and even if I could, not during the full moon.

" Please, why don't you just leave us alone? My uncle will kill me and my friend if you take us to him."

"Who cares, huh?" Billy barked. "We are taking you back to the Alpha and he will do as he pleases."

I got annoyed and tried to break loose but they were stronger and got hold of me. Mance landed a hot blow to my face, he seemed to be hot-tempered. I was really scared and began to beg him.

Instead, he smiled sinisterly as he zipped down and grabbed me forcefully and tried kissing me but I turned my face, refusing his kiss. He got annoyed and said;

"You are stubborn, but when I've gotten my way with you. You will come begging for more."

"Please don't do this to me," I pleaded, but now in tears. Instead, he pushed me down, tore my dress, and kissed me roughly. Alex and Billy stood and laughed, I could see Luna crying for me.

He was about to have his way with me when we heard a voice.

"Stop!" The voice called out, filled with command. And immediately, Mance left me and bowed in the direction of the voice, alongside Alex and Billy.
