In the morning, we receive word that Simon is stable. We are also notified that the council will be investigating what happened, which surprises me. They were all there! They all saw Simon lunging at Damian when his back was turned.
I don’t have a lot of time to think about it, since we have to see off the guest that spent the weekend at the ceremony. Once all the guests are gone, my old pack joins my parents to say goodbye, and I’m actually a little sad to see them all go.
My father relented and he and Damian agreed to keep the two packs separate. My father was going to choose someone else to take over from him as the new alpha and once that happens, my parents would join us as part of our pack.
