The Lilly and The Wolf Book 1

I ran as fast as I could to catch up to Ian, but he was faster than I was. I growled and jumped at him, but I missed skinning up my knee. I cried holding my knee up to my chest. Ian stopped running and turned towards me. "You humans are always getting hurt." He laughed before looking at my knee. He tensed when he spotted the blood on my knee. "If you didn’t run so fast I wouldn’t have gotten hurt." I said rubbing away my tears. He ignored it and helped me up, I winced as I felt his claw in my shoulder. "Ow, you’re hurting me." I pulled away feeling pain go through my shoulder. I gasped looking at Ian, his hands had turn into black claws and his blue green eyes were now yellow. "What’s wrong Ian? " I asked timidly afraid of what he might do to me. He stalked towards me licking his lips. I back away and screamed at the top of my lungs as he pounced, pinning me down and licking my blood from my shoulder and arm. "Stop Ian." I cried out trying to push him off with the strength I could muster, but I was too weak to move him. I kicked up trying to get him off of me, but he didn’t budge. All of a sudden Ian was ripped off me and I was in Maria's arms getting rushed to the house. "It’s all right baby girl you’ll be alright now." Maria said sitting me on the black kitchen counter and cleaning my shoulder off. "I’m sorry I’m so weak, I didn’t mean to get hurt." I said looking down feeling ashamed. "Now don’t be thinking like that. Just because you’re human doesn’t make you weak. Ian is just changing and he doesn’t know how to handle it, but he will get better over time." Maria said hugging me to her chest before bandaging my shoulder and knee up. "Will he be ok?" I asked worried. Maria laughed lightly. "He will be just fine honey, now let’s get you into bed so you can get some rest." She said scooping me up and taking me to my room. She laid me down and turned the light off and ease the door shut. I could hear her talking to someone in the hall. "She’ll be fine, he didn’t bite her only scratched her. Ian had tasted her blood though, we will have to keep them separated from now on." I heard her say before walking away from my room. That was the day I had taken Ian away from his family
