Talia's POV
Yesterday was intense. Everyone was more on edge than ever. All the alphas decided to listen to me instead of fighting, which I knew troubled Shane deeply but he eventually calmed down. He was not happy that I would have to be on the front line with them during the attack, but as I told him yesterday, it had to be me, and I was okay with that. I trusted my pack with everything I had. I knew they would do everything to protect me, just as I wanted them to know that I would do anything for them. The last of the children would be moved today. Dani insisted that she didn’t want to go so I made sure that she was one of the last of the children, to be moved. Today I would spend the day with her so I could say my goodbyes.
