Chapter 1 — The Red Moon
The year was 1670. The night sky looked unnatural. The moon had turned completely red, glowing like blood across the heavens. Its crimson light spread over forests, mountains, rivers, and villages, making the entire world feel cursed. Thunder roared across the sky. Cold winds howled through the dark lands. Deep inside a forbidden forest stood an enormous ancient palace. The structure looked centuries old, carrying the weight of forgotten history and forbidden magic. Black crows circled above its towers while strange whispers echoed through the air. Inside the palace, a massive ceremonial hall was illuminated by hundreds of candles. But these were no ordinary candles. Their flames burned black. Ancient symbols were painted across the walls using blood-red ink. In the center of the hall, a giant magic circle glowed beneath the stone floor. Dark energy flowed through it like living shadows. Standing in the middle of the circle was a man dressed in long black robes. His eyes glowed crimson. His name was Satin. Around him stood several frightened students, watching silently with fear in their eyes. None of them dared to speak. Satin slowly raised both his hands toward the sky and began chanting ancient forbidden spells. “Saithan… Vekrul… Morthaaz…” Each word made the palace tremble. The glowing circle beneath him pulsed brighter and brighter with every chant. At the far end of the hall, eight powerful wizards were chained with massive iron restraints engraved with sealing magic. Their bodies were wounded, their clothes torn from battle, but the power in their eyes still remained. Suddenly, one of them slowly lifted his head. Fire reflected within his eyes. He was the strongest among them. Sam. The legendary Fire Wizard. “SATIN!” His voice exploded through the hall like thunder. The entire palace shook violently. Several students stumbled backward in fear. Sam pulled against the magical chains with fury burning in his eyes. “What are you doing?! Release us immediately!” Satin slowly turned toward him. A twisted smile appeared on his face. “Release you?” he asked calmly. “Of course I will, Sam…” He spread his arms slowly. “But only after offering all of you as sacrifices to Saithan.” Fear spread across the faces of the other wizards. Sam’s eyes filled with anger. “You’ve lost your mind, Satin! This dark magic will destroy the entire world!” Satin suddenly laughed. A cold, terrifying laugh. “The world?” he whispered. “I no longer care about the world.” His eyes widened with madness. “There is only one thing I desire…” He raised both hands toward the blood-red moon. “IMMORTALITY!” Dark energy exploded across the hall. The black flames on the candles rose higher. The students stepped back in terror. Satin’s voice echoed through the palace. “Tonight, during the Red Moon Eclipse…” He pointed toward the chained wizards. “I will sacrifice the eight most powerful wizards in existence!” The glowing circle beneath the floor began spinning violently. “And in return… Saithan himself will grant me eternal life and limitless power!” The entire hall trembled. Lightning flashed outside the palace windows. Sam stared at Satin with pure hatred. “I will never allow this to happen!” he roared. Suddenly, sparks of fire appeared around Sam’s chained hands. The other wizards looked at him in shock. Satin’s expression changed instantly. “That’s impossible…” he whispered. “I sealed your powers myself…” Sam slowly lifted his head. His eyes were no longer human. They burned like living flames. “No one can seal my fire forever.” The temperature inside the hall began rising rapidly. Students started panicking. Some tried running toward the exit. Then Sam closed his eyes. Ancient energy surrounded him. Slowly, he began chanting a forgotten spell. “DRAKON… VERMITHAAAAA!!!” The moment those words echoed through the palace, Satin’s face turned pale. For the first time that night, fear appeared in his eyes. “No…” he whispered. “Don’t summon that creature…” Suddenly thunder exploded across the sky. The palace ceiling cracked open violently. Massive pieces of stone crashed to the ground. Students screamed in terror. A gigantic shadow appeared above the palace. Then it descended from the heavens. A FIRE DRAGON. Its enormous wings burned with blazing flames. Its scales glowed like molten lava. Its eyes shined brighter than the sun itself. The dragon released a deafening roar that shook the entire kingdom. The palace walls cracked instantly. Students fell to the floor covering their ears in terror. Satin slowly stepped backward. “Impossible…” he whispered in disbelief. “That dragon only obeys one master…” Because only one wizard possessed the power of absolute fire. Sam. The Fire Dragon landed directly before him. Despite its terrifying appearance, the beast lowered its massive head respectfully toward Sam. The flames surrounding Sam grew stronger. The magical chains around him slowly melted from the heat. The other wizards stared in shock. Sam gently placed his hand against the dragon’s face. The creature closed its glowing eyes. A deep bond existed between them. Not master and beast. But warriors connected by ancient fire itself. Satin suddenly shouted in panic. “Kill him! Stop him now!” Several students nervously prepared attack spells. But before they could move, the dragon roared again. A massive wave of fire exploded across the hall. Students were thrown backward instantly. The walls shattered. The palace began collapsing. Sam slowly turned toward Satin. “You wanted immortality,” he said coldly. “But tonight…” His eyes glowed brighter than ever before. “Your nightmare begins.” Satin screamed in rage and unleashed dark magic toward Sam. Black lightning filled the air. But the Fire Dragon opened its mouth. A gigantic beam of blazing fire erupted forward like a volcanic explosion. BOOOOOOOOOOMMMMMM!!! The entire palace disappeared inside an ocean of flames. Explosions echoed endlessly. Stone pillars collapsed. Windows shattered. Students screamed. Dark magic spiraled wildly out of control. The Red Moon above the palace glowed brighter and brighter as the kingdom itself seemed to burn beneath it. Everything became fire. Everything became light. And then silence. “SAM!! Wake up!” Sam’s eyes suddenly opened. He gasped heavily for air. Sweat covered his entire body. His heart pounded violently inside his chest. For a few seconds, he could still hear the dragon’s roar inside his mind. Then reality slowly returned. He was lying in a small bedroom. Morning sunlight entered softly through the window. A worried woman stood beside him. His mother. “You had that dream again, didn’t you?” she asked gently. Sam remained silent for a moment. Then he slowly nodded. “Yes, Mom… The same dream.” The year was now 1920. Everything had changed. The ancient kingdoms were gone. Magic no longer existed in the modern world. Or at least… that was what people believed. Sam lived in a small peaceful town with his mother. To everyone else, he was just an ordinary school student. But deep inside, those dreams never felt ordinary. They felt real. Too real. Every night he saw the same palace. The same blood moon. The same dragon. And Satin. His mother placed a hand on his shoulder. “You should get ready for school,” she said softly. “You’ll be late again.” Sam quietly nodded and got out of bed. He walked toward the mirror in his room. For a few seconds, he simply stared at his reflection. A normal teenage boy. Nothing unusual. Then suddenly, a tiny spark of fire appeared in his palm. Sam instantly stepped backward in shock. The fire disappeared a second later. His breathing became heavier. “What is happening to me?” he whispered. At that exact moment, outside his bedroom window, a mysterious figure wearing a black coat stood silently in the distance, watching the house. His glowing red eyes slowly narrowed. Then he smiled. “The Fire Wizard…” the stranger whispered. “So you have finally returned.”
