CHAPTER 1
The ray of the early morning sun filtered through the curtains of the hotel window. It warmly caressed the face of Mariana Venz who was lying in the company of her CEO, Albert Robertson. Both of them were completely unclad, their bodies only hidden under the very prestigious bed sheet.
"Ouch!" Mariana said in a lush whisper as she stirred awake, one hand on her head and the other trying to feel her legs.
They had a lot to drink before their very glorious moment.
"Sir," Mariana rubbed her hands on his chest to stir him awake.
"Good morning Sir," She said as soon as he opened his eyes.
"Mariana?" Albert asked with a stale look on his face.
"What is it, Boss?" Mariana asked him.
She even had a brisk smile on her face while asking him. Mariana remembered everything that had gone down the previous night. How he made her hit the climax only by caressing her.
"He's such a man that every girl would want," Mariana said to Herself.
"Did anyone see us last night?" Albert rather asked.
Mariana was hoping they could talk about the lovely experience last night. How he made her scream his name till she almost lost her voice.
"No one saw us," Mariana answered reluctantly.
"Good, that's very good."
After that utterance, Albert urged her to get on her feet immediately and to put on her clothes.
"I need to shower first," She said in protest to what he was requesting but he was even able to push her out if she didn't conform to what he was saying.
"What is Wrong with you?" She asked.
"No one can ever find out about what happened here, between us!" Albert strictly instructed her.
Okay, Mariana knew she was not supposed to go around telling people that she had an erotic experience with her boss. She also knew that he meant something more serious than that.
"What do you mean?" Mariana asked out of curiosity.
"My father would never approve of our relationship," Albert came out plain to her.
"I am supposed to get married to the daughter of a rich business partner of the same social echelon as me," Albert explained further.
Mariana's heart was crushed. She didn't know what to think of herself. She felt cheap, she felt used.
"And you didn't say this to me before you took my virginity?" She questioned him in tears.
"I never knew you were a virgin," Albert Robertson said to her with a sorry look in his eyes.
He apologized to her:
"I'm so sorry for what I did to you."
"Sorry doesn't solve it," Mariana said in a voice laced with Pain.
Albert could easily grasp how pained she was as she spoke to him.
"I am so sorry," He attempted to touch her but she shrugged his hand off her shoulder.
"I do not need your sorry or your pity, I'll be fine!" Mariana struggled to hold back her tears as she said these words to Albert.
She stood up from the bed and began to dress herself. Mariana was disappointed in Albert, but more so in herself.
"Hold on," Albert said to Mariana as she attempted to walk out of the room.
He went to his drawer by his bedside and took out a cheque.
"This is ten thousand dollars," He said to Mariana after writing on it.
"What?" Mariana scoffed at the sight of it. "You think I'm some kind of w***e that you'll pay after s*x?" She questioned him in anger.
"I'm doing this just to compensate for the wrong I did to you."
What compensation? Mariana needed none of that. He had his fun, she just wanted to leave and forget about all that happened.
"Just take this," Albert tried to force the cheque into Mariana's hand but she still refused.
"I did not sleep with you so you could pay me afterward!" She was bold in her statement and even looked him in the eyes.
"I know, but let me do this for you."
No matter the approach Albert used, Mariana was not going to accept anything from him. She hated him more than anyone alive at the moment.
"Excuse me," Mariana said, then she pushed him aside and walked out of the room.
When she got home, she was moody and tired. Not physically tired, but emotionally and mentally.
"We were worried about you the whole night," Her father said to her.
"I'm fine as you can see," she answered, a little rudely.
Mariana wasn't in the mood to speak to anyone, her heart was broken and she was feeling worthless.
"Your father is talking to you!" Mariana's mother said but she still would not open the door to them.
"I'm just tired, mom!" Mariana shouted from inside the room before collapsing on the bed, lying face up. She exhaled loudly.
"You should at least open up and explain to us," Her mother said. There was no reply from Mariana so they went away.
"My father wants me to get married to someone of the same social echelon as me!" Those words from Albert stuck in her head. It kept echoing in her head even as she tried to relax.
Albert's scent still lingered around her body, she could still perceive what he smelled like. Mariana could not stop thinking of how he smirked at her when he took her virginity.
*
Now weeks had passed, and she was getting along fine after what happened that night between her and Albert.
Mariana had to tell a terrible lie to her parents concerning the night she spent with Albert so they could get off her neck.
"What is wrong with you?" Natasha asked Mariana after running into her at the bus station.
"I'm fine," Mariana said but her looks disagreed with that. She was looking faint and pale.
"I don't think you are alright," Natasha said to her.
"Why wouldn't I be fine," Mariana laughed. She claimed to know her own body.
Did she? Before Mariana could even complete her statement, she collapsed to the floor, right there at the bus station.
