Abigail's POV

"I have a question" I finally spoke up

The one sitting in the middle finally turned around looking at me.

I finally recognized him, it was the dude that someone called king. The one who was exactly my type.

We maintain eye contact for a minute before I break it.

Looking at the light-haired woman I asked "where do we all fit in this story"

She smiles "you girls..." she said pausing "...are the next chosen guardians"

Every one of us siting had the same shocked expression

"Us!!" We all said in unison

"This has to be some kind of mistake" the skinny black girl said with confusion written all over her face

"Yes you" the man with red hair spoke up "every guardian is chosen by the guardian stones" he said sternly "so you can be sure that there is no mistake" he gave the skinny girl a look.

"But we are not even from this Ziyera" The Queen bee said "we are humans" she said extremely confused.

The great queen bee is confused and speechless ha! News of the year. She didn't even have that annoying look on her face anymore, just her normal beautiful face with confusion.

"We are very well aware" the elder with green hair said, "the guardian stones never make mistakes".

"Very well, since we are now acquainted with the backstory, we can now tell them their duties and responsibilities toward the Ziyera" the king said, his voice thundering

"Responsibilities?" I thought inwardly "that can only mean that we are going to go to some kind of war to protect people that we don't even know WTF"

The king continued "The former guardians are going to train the new ones just as always".

"Former guardians?" I asked, "who are they?"

Realization hit me "you guys are the former guardians" I blurted out my eyes widening slightly.

Their expressions confirmed my suspicions

"You guessed right" the man with blue hair finally spoke

"introductions are over now I am going well to leave the former guardians to take care of you all" the king announced standing up to leave.

As he stood the guardians also stood bowing their heads slightly.

He has quite a build I have to say damn. He took graceful steps towards the door then the doors opened on their own and immediately after he left closed back on their own.

"Woooow" I stood unknowingly still looking at the door he passed through.

Someone cleared their throats catching my attention. I turned to sit not feeling the least shame for being caught staring.

The elders brought out a golden box with strange designs written on it. It seemed to be in some kind of language but so foreign I couldn't understand a thing. Opening the box, the box contained four glowing stones of red, blue, green and light purple colour.

"are this the guardian stones" the chubby black girl asked

"yes, they are" the lady answered "they will now select their chosen ones" she said. She then speaks a foreign language.

"Huh?" I asked

Suddenly, they started glowing brighter. I cover my eyes because of the light.

Wait a minute, where have I seen such strange light before? I thought deeply. Ahh that's right in the forest before I was brought here.

I looked towards the light again. The guardian stones rose and started floating; they glowed brighter.

Then one glowing stone came directly at me with so much force hitting my chest.

"Oww!" I exclaimed

Suddenly I felt a terrible pain in my chest "Ahhhhh" I screamed as the pain travelled to every part of my body. I fell to the floor panting. At the corner of my eye I saw the other girls going through the same pain.

"Mmmmhhh, Ahhhhhh" I groaned in pain as it was becoming unbearable. I had never been in so much pain before.

The so-called former guardians just stood there watching us die from pain.

Could this people have made up a fake story just to use us for sacrifice to some strange deities. Naa… no need to go through so much stress they had already kidn*pped us so why stress themselves.

Another wave of pain ripped through my body "aaahhh" I couldn't hold it anymore. I started crying. It was just too painful, I could feel my veins, it felt like my blood was boiling and cooling down at the same time, it was a weird and very painful feeling. I felt all the air leave my lungs and I started gasping for air. On top of all that my ears were ringing and my head was throbbing I grabbed my head. I kept hearing some whispers in a strange language

"W-ho is t-that" I managed to squeeze out

The whispers got louder.

"S-stop" I said but they even got louder as if they were trying to tell me something.

I can't take it anymore "STOP!!" I screamed

After some time of dreadful pain, I became slightly relieved of most of the pain, but my throbbing head didn't stop.

Holding my head I prop myself on a chair. Looking around I see that most of the girls had recovered slightly. Hera (queen bee) and the chubby black girl were sitting on the floor with dishevelled hair while the skinny black and I were sitting on the chair. We were all breathing heavily.

Suddenly Hera screamed in pain.

All our eyes snapped to her direction. She clutched her chest, then out of nowhere flames appeared. She was engulfed in flames. She looked up at us with a very scared and confused face with no sign of pain. She wasn't even burnt by the fire. She then stood up all confusion gone, she looked very dangerous still engulfed in flames she took a step forward still eyeing us with her deadly red eyes then the next minute she blacked out and fell to the floor with the fire all over her body.

The skinny black was the next to scream, clutching her chest she fell to the floor breathing heavily. She was now covered with green smoke. She looked up and she had green eyes. With the butterflies flying all over her she looked beautiful like some kind of nature queen, standing up the whole place where she stood started sprouting with lovely flowers. After a short time, she too blacked out and sank to the floor.

"W-what is happening" the chubby black screamed. She looked at me with fearful eyes "I-I don't want to go through anymore pain" she stuttered tears spilling from her eyes. "It's okay" I said as I reached out to her to wipe her tears but before I could take two steps she fell to the floor "ahhhh" screaming painfully grasping her chest. After some time though she too slowly levitated suddenly purple smoke covered her whole being it was like she was the smoke and the smoke was her. She looked magical "woow!" I exclaimed then she fainted as well.

Looking around I figured that everyone of them had gone through pain and passed out, but a strange colour of smoke surrounded each of them. That can only mean…..

I felt a strange sensation in my chest "yup it's my turn". Bracing for impact I knew that I was going to be hit with another wave of pain so I got ready for it.

"Ahh" I scream not expecting the pain to be so sharp "gahh" I hold my chest and fall to the floor. My chest was hot and felt like a boulder was crushing it. I felt like this strange power was trying to enter me forcefully. I tried my best to resist but it was no help. It finally won and penetrated deep inside me. I blacked out for a few seconds and when I finally woke up I felt extremely strong "wow I think I'm finally ready to move mountains" I thought inwardly.

Looking around I saw that I was covered with what seemed like water "huh where did water come from and how is it floating" I thought inwardly "since when does water float". I felt so strong. I stood up wanting to touch the water, but just then all the strength I had faded in the blink of an eye. "What is…" my world plunged into darkness.

"Ugh" I turned my body around so weakly.

"How is my bed so strong" I muttered "almost as if…"

My memories came rushing. Guardians, guardian stones, strange light…

My eyes sprang open. I looked around. I was on an island "huh" I sat up, immediately pain shot up my waist "ah!" I exclaimed

Looking around, it is a huge island with a wide body of deep blue water and beautiful landscape.
