WE WENT INSIDE, carrying the remains of the meal and the lounge chairs with us. After an extremely energetic thirty minutes in the bed, we returned to the great room, where we settled down in the lounge chairs and watched the rain.
“I’m going to hate leaving this place Sunday morning,” Mike said.
“Me too, but we’ll be back.”
“Babe, you just said a mouthful, and I’ve been thinking.”
“Penny.”
“We can fly up here at least one weekend a month, if we want to,” he said.
“Won’t that be expensive?”
“Have you forgotten the fact that I have a pilot’s license?”
“No, but I also haven’t forgotten the fact that you don’t own a plane, and aren’t they kind of expensive to rent for a weekend?”
“Who’s the biggest firm of ambulance-chasers in Jacksonville?” he said.
