“We will leave you here at Caleb’s home,” Connor said to us, which made both of us nod our heads as I tightly squeezed his hands as though I wanted to make sure that he was still by my side. It was as if he knew what I had in my mind because he pulled me closer to him, which made me feel safer than earlier.
