Retail Therapy

I get to the mall and go into the art store. I grab a basket and walk to the paint isle. I grab one of each color, and go grab different sizes of canvas. I go up and pay for them. “Leaving them here and looking around like usual?” The guy at the counter asks. I nod my head and he sits them behind the counter. I walk out and start looking at other stores in the mall. I get a body wash, lotion and perfume set at Bath and Body, along with some hand sanitizer. I go to a few more stores and shop. As I am walking out of Claire’s I hear a conversation between to men.

“Are you sure it’s her. She looks a little young.”

“She matches the photo we got. It has to be her.” I start to panic. I scroll through my contacts on my phone. And see one that I am thankful for.

I dial the number. “Aurora, what do you need?” I hear his voice.

“I am at the mall, and there are two guys here talking. One asked the other if they were sure that was the girl that she looked young to be her. The other said I matched the picture they have.”

“There is a*****e called L and M Corporate Wear. Go in there and hand them your phone.” He says I start looking and find it. I walk inside and up to the register.

“Excuse me but someone wants to speak with you.” I tell the man at the register. He looks at me and rolls his eyes walking away from me. “Rude much.” I say.

“What happened?”

“He walked away from me.”

“Follow him and put me on speaker.” He says, I put him on speaker and start to follow him.

“Excuse me.” I say again.

“What in the world do you want? I don’t have time to deal with a bratty kid.” He says turning to look at me.

“You will not speak to her like that. Am I understood.” Leo says, making the man’s face pale. “I am on my way there now. Get her in the security room and no one but myself is to enter it.” I look over my shoulder and see the two guys walking towards me. “Now.”

“Yes sir. Right this way ma’am.” He says pointing me towards the back I start walking in front of the man.

“I am about five minutes away from the mall. Don’t let anything happen to her.” He says before hanging up on me.

“Right in there.” The worker says. Letting me walk into a room then shutting the door. I turn and look at a wall of monitors. They cover the entire store from the entrance to the room I am in. I see the guy talking with the two men from the mall. One of them points towards the back. I see two big guys come into the store. They walk up and grab the two guys. Then I see Leo walk in, followed by his dad. I see Leo walking back towards the room I am in. I open the door and wrap my arms around him.

“Who are they, and what do they want?” I ask him.

“That’s what we are going to find out.” He says before he kisses the top of my head. “Let them inside.” He says backing me up. I watch as they bring the guys inside. One of them looks at me. Leo punches him making his nose pour blood.
