Kevin's face changed as he stared at the woman in the picture, it was the same girl he saw at the hospital, the one with the intoxicating yet peace smell

"She's the one find her and offer her the contract" he said returning the iPad to Gabe. "Okay" Gabe responded leaving the room. Gabe got to work immediately, he began to investigate Ruby's life, he watched her for days until he finally approached her. "Good evening, ma'am" he greeted as he stood near Ruby's table. "Hey how can I help you" Ruby asked looking up to see the person. "May I?" He requested pointing towards the seat opposite hers "sure" she replied feigning a smile. "My name is Gabe Qing and I work for Mr. young. I am here to offer you a deal" he said without delay "what deal?" Ruby replied taken aback by the name mentioned.

"My boss needs a woman to present as his wife to his family and I know you need money at the moment, he is offering to pay 500 million for it" he explained. "Here is my card call me if you are interested" he said placing his card on the table. Ruby stared at the card and Gabe in silence. " I assure you there are other benefits to the deal all you have to do is get married legally and act for his family and the public and you can still continue living your life normally but you must not do anything that will question the marriage that's all" Gabe added trying to convince her.

"Look I know your situation and I know you need money to pay off your student loan and you don't have a place of your own, but if you say yes all that can be solved" he assured her. "I'll be expecting your answer by Friday, goodbye miss Ruby" he said with a smile as he got up and left.

Ruby returned home and thought long and hard, she needed the money, and a place to after all she was still going to live her normal life, she just had to pretend to be married and it's just for a year after that she would use the money to get a house and maybe start her own clinic like she always dreamt of doing. She had decided, she picked up her phone and the card, she made the call "I am ready for deal". "Alright, I'll send you the address, come meet me there on Friday" Gabe replied as a victorious smiled curled up his lips.

"Good morning, I have finalized everything, and the girl has agreed" Gabe announced only entering Kevin's office. " Good give her the contract to sign and get her ready to move in with me" Kevin replied with an unreadable expression. "Don't you want o meet her first" Gabe asked "no...I don't want to form unnecessary attachment" Kevin said as he turned to face the city "while your at it check on the lawyers, I need things in order as soon as possible" he added. "Okay" Gabe nodded as he turned to leave.

The morning of the contract signing came and Ruby sat in the car arranged for her, she was in a silk white dress that fit her perfectly, she was nervous, she's about to take a decision that could change her life and she did not inform anyone close to her. They had arrived at the court. "We

They walked into the registry and all the paperwork was done, she was officially married but her husband was no where to be seen. Summoning up courage she decided to ask, "where is Mr. Young?" She said, "he couldn't make it, something came up" Gabe replied with a smile "don't worry everything remains as I said and the contract stands, we will be heading to his penthouse now" he assured sending the doubt in her voice. 'What kind of an doesn't come for his own wedding' she thought silently as they drove to the penthouse.

"This is where you would live from now on and this is the key to the house" Gabe said as they stepped into the penthouse. Ruby stared in awe, she slowly ran her eyes through the living area taking in every single detail, from the bar stand to the long couch, and the interior design that indicated elegance and class but in a its beauty it looked lonely and dark, the main colors where black and grey. The room was light up with a magnificent silver chandelier hanging over it. "Will I be staying here alone?" she asked in a quiet voice. "No Mr. Young will be sharing the place with you" Gabe answered as carried her luggage in "this way Mrs. Young" he said,

Mrs. Young it sounded strange in her ears, especially when she has not seen her husband yet. "This will be your room" Gabe said stretching is hand into the open door "thank you" Ruby replied stepping into the room. "Here is your new card, the money has been transferred to you, a few staff will be sent tomorrow morning" Gabe replied as he stood at the door. "You would be sent a dress and a car for the evening, you and Mr. Young will visit his family today" Gabe added "if you need anything just call me, I'll be on my way now, Goodbye" he said with a bow as he closed the door behind him.

Ruby stood still for a while, she did it she married to someone she hasn't seen before, and nobody knows about it. Her phone rang "Ruby where have you been" Allison asked worriedly, "I'm fine I just went out, but I won't be coming home, I found somewhere else to stay for a while" Ruby replied not revealing the complete truth. "Jason said he'd saw you leave with a man earlier are you with him" Allison asked as she sat on the table at the nurse's desk. "I'll explain later when the time is right" Ruby replied a little hesitant "okay" Allison responded already suspicious "but"... "Good bye I have a lot of do" Ruby said cutting her off.

Later that evening Ruby was dressed in a purple backless dinner gown that showed off her hourglass figure, it had a long slit by the side that revealed her slender legs. Her long blonde hair fell over her shoulder covering her back. She took a deep breath and got into the car. "Good evening, ma'am" Gabe greeted "I'll take you to meet Mr. Young now" he said as he started the

car engine began to drive. Ruby fondled with her dress all the way there, she felt her palm begin to sweat and her heart began to beat fast. She was unsure of what she was to do.

"We are here" Gabe announced. As the chaperone opened the door for her "Good evening young miss* the chaperone greeted. Mr. Young is waiting for you at the wait area" he said pointing towards the huge door leading into the mansion. "Thanks" she whispered walking into the mansion. She was stunned by the beauty she was seeing it was a complete contrast to the penthouse, this place was more welcoming. She looked around until her eyes fell on the back of a man, she looked at him his shoulders perfectly aligning to his body. On hearing her footsteps, he turned around to face her, and Ruby's breath seized, he was the man from the other night. The man that she had seen so many things. She felt her heartbeat faster than before, was he her husband she thought as she gripped the side of her dress.

"I am Kevin Young, your husband" Kevin said breaking up the silence, he moved closer to her and offered his hand "shall we" he said. Ruby felt her world spin, what had she done, did she just get married to a horrible man, suddenly she felt darkness enclose her. Ruby fainted in Kevin's arms. "Ruby" he called out to her in panic. Lifting her in his arms he ran into the house "call the doctor now!" He screamed at the first maid that came in sight alarming everyone in the house.

"What's all the ruckuses?" Anne asked as she rushed out to the direction of the voice. "Young masters wife fainted" the maid replied. "Fainted...how?" She asked confused "I don't know?" The maid answered with a bow. "Why did Stella faint, is she pregnant again" Anne asked herself "it's not young master Mike's wife it's young master Kevin" the maid corrected "who?" Anne replied shocked as her mouth stayed open. "Master Kevin" the maid answered a second time.

Anne walked away dismissing the maid. Meanwhile Kevin laid Ruby down on the bed in his room, he stared at her worriedly he did not know why she had fainted or how to help her. 'What happened to her, was she overwhelmed by the place and what was with the look of fear he noticed when she looked at him' he thought pacing about in the 'and where on earth was the doctor her asked for' he screamed in his head. Taking one more look at her face he stormed out of the room to find the doctor himself. He had not gone far when he saw the doctor approaching him with his family behind. "Only the doctor is allowed in the rest of you stay outside" he said as he stood between them and the room.

"What's wrong with her" Kevin asked impatiently standing over the doctor who was still checking on her "she's fine, she must have fainted due to shock, she will wake up soon" the doctor answered assuring him "I'll take my leave now" he added as he bowed and left the room.

Kevin looked at Ruby as he got lost in her beauty, she was more beautiful than he remembered, she stared at her lips wanting nothing but to kiss it. The took in a deep breath as her scent filled his nose, the one thing that somehow gave him peace that he had not felt in a long while. Why did he feel this way? He couldn't explain but all he knew was this woman right here gave him peace and stirred up a feeling inside of him that he had never felt before.

Kevin called Gabe and instructed him to bring some clothes or Ruby, they will be spending the night at the Young estate. Heading downstairs he was met with a questioning look from every member of his family "brother what is going on" Anne finally asked. "My wife Ruby isn't well at the moment, she won't be able to make it to dinner tonight, she will meet you all in the morning" he announced looking at his father. Without waiting for a response, he left them and headed back to his room.

Ruby woke up a few hours later, she stared at the ceiling above her, where was she all she could remember was the darkness that enclosed her and that was when she realized she was with that man when she fainted. Scared she sat up, the events rushed through her memory, he has claimed to be her husband, but first where was she was, she kidn*pped? She asked, searching for her phone her hand felt something. It was a man lying beside her she immediately jumps to her feet. 'What was he doing here, did we, did he take advantage of me?' she asked panicking as she stumbled onto the ground knocking over the glass of water onto herself.

Kevin sprang up upon hearing the noise. Which made Ruby frightened 'was he going to harm her?'. Putting on the lights Kevin looked at the direction of the noise and saw Ruby on the floor he's eyes were drawn to her legs which was exposed by her night wear. "What are you doing now the floor?" He asked taking his mind off his dirty thoughts and approaching her. Ruby curled back stopping Kevin in his tracks "I'm fine" she stammered struggling to get on her feet.

"Come here let me help you" he said lifting her up from the ground. Ruby felt a tingling sensation on her back where his hand was placed, for some reason this man made her heart skip a beat not just with fear, but it was something else. As Kevin laid her on the bed her stomach grumbled loudly, and she held it in embarrassment. "I'm sorry" she said looking down as she fondled with her fingers and the sheet. Kevin chuckled silently "are you hungry" he asked in a raspy voice, sending shivers down Ruby's spine "Ermma no no ....no I'm not" she replied still not meet his gaze. "What do you mean no, your stomach otherwise, hold on I'll call someone to bring something for you" he said as he stepped out of the room.

'Why was he so polite, and what's with this feeling when his near' Ruby thought to herself 'what if it's just a charade?' she continued in her thoughts when Kevin stepped in with a tray of food in his hands. "Here you go eat and go back to bed" he said placing the tray on the bedside table

"We will meet my family officially in the morning, there's medicine in the tray, take it...... I do not want you fainting again" he added as he left for the bathroom. Ruby looked at the food tray, scrutinizing it before she began to eat and laid down to rest.

Kevin took a long cold shower in the bathroom, how did get so hard from just looking at her and watching her, how exactly was she able to entice him from the very first day with even doing anything. Kevin struggled for minutes in the bathroom and by the time he was out Ruby was asleep and it was thinking for he's morning run, so he got dressed and left.

Ruby was awakened by the subtle movement of the maid. "Good morning, ma'am" the maid greeted noticing her. "Where exactly am I?" Ruby asked sitting up, the maid looked up in confusion "this is the Young mansion" she replied bowing her head. "Young mansion?" She asked, "yes ma'am, I have prepared the bath for you and some clothes breakfast will be ready in ten minutes" the maid replied, "may I take leave" the maid asked, "yeah sure......hold on, what of Kevin Young?" She asked. "He's out for his morning run" the maid replied. "You can go" Ruby instructed noticing the maid was still standing at the same spot.

Kevin walked into the bedroom to find an empty bed 'where has she gone?' he panicked. He walked into the walk-in closet and still no sign of her. He took off his clothes and entered into the bathroom to see a naked Ruby. She screamed using her hands to cover her bosom. " What....what are you doing here" Ruby asked as his cheeks turned bright red. "This is my room and my bathroom; don't I have a right to be here?" Kevin asked shamelessly standing naked before her. "But I'm in here" Ruby replied as her eyes trailed down to Kevin's groin. Following her eyes Kevin smiled sheepishly taking slow steps towards her, "what are you doing" Ruby stammered. "I'm coming I take a bath, what do you think I'm going to do" Kevin replied teasing her, "but am not done yet" she replied trying to chase him away

"Well, I can't wait anymore, breakfast will soon be ready and I don't want to keep everyone waiting" he paused as he got close to her, she could feel his hot breath on her neck and the wetness in between her legs "it's not like I care but today is a special day" he continued reaching out towards her. Ruby curled herself up 'was he about to take advantage of her' she taught. But Kevin's had brushed passed her sending electric bolts throughout her body, reaching out for the body wash he stepped back and slowly entered the bathtub on the other side and began to wash himself with his back facing her.

Ruby stared at his back lost in the curve of his muscle, her eyes trailed down the Phoenix tattoo on his back following its line until it got to his bum. "It's rude to stare" Kevin said jolting her from her thoughts. Embarrassed Ruby picked up her towel and fled the bathroom in hurried steps. She could swear she heard him chuckle as she ran out.

Everyone stared at them making Ruby even more nervous she had never been in such a situation before; she was better off in her ward at the hospital. Feeling intimidated by the aura that filled the room especially from the man at the head of the table, she lowered her gaze and looked at her feet instead. "Raise your head" Kevin said "don't show weakness" he added. Ruby lifted her gaze slowly as they got to the table.

"Everyone this is my wife Mrs. Ruby Kevin Young" he announced as he held, he's head high. Without waiting for a response, he drew he sit out for Ruby. They both sat down as the maids began to serve the food. Lucas Young stared directly at Ruby "how much did he pay you to be here?" He asked ignoring the food in front him, Ruby looked towards Kevin's direction seeking for help. "She's my wife and that's all that matters" Kevin replied instead, "we have proof" he added as he raised his two fingers as a signal for Gabe who walked in and handed Lucas Young the evidence that was prepared for him. "We are properly married, and now you can't touch whatever is mine" he said getting up to his feet. "Shall we?" He asked shifting he's gave to Ruby, on cue got to her feet as they walked out of the mansion accompanied by Gabe.
