“You have to be mistaken?" There was a pregnant pause as my mother blew out a breath. “I know my daughter and she would never act the way you are describing.”
Pausing in the doorway, I took in the scene in front of me. My mother and father were there along with Leahs parents, and Ffion. and they all knew I was there although none of them turned to greet me. They were all to engrossed in their conversation to pay me much notice at all.
“It was definitely her." A new voice spoke out and I swivelled my head to spot Rhydian leaning on one of the old but still in good shape cabinets. He still looked the same but some of the cockiness that I'd hated when I had first met him was gone now. He looked older, more downtrodden but then again, we all did.
