Elijah was already waiting for Samantha when she came out; even though he was only wearing a polo shirt, his elegance was undeniable. "I'm sorry you had to wait," Samantha apologized. "It's all right; where are we going? Should we walk or take the bus?" Elijah inquired. His feelings for Samantha remain distant. "I'd like to walk, but with my clothes like this, it's better that we just ride," Samantha replied, embarrassed by her outfit. Elijah simply smiled and opened Samantha's car door. Elijah looked at Samantha as soon as he got into the car. "Please give me the directions; I'm not familiar with your city," he said as he started the car. "That's not an issue, and I know a few places... Hays, I wish my best friend was here with us; despite the fact that she's new here, Seraphine already knows of beautiful places to visit "Samantha smiled as she spoke. "How come you didn't bring her with you?" Elijah inquired, his gaze fixed on the road. "Heartbroken, she has already met her mate, but the man appears to have no interest in her," Samantha lamented. "Perhaps his mate had a reason," Elijah responded, recalling his problem with his desired but unwanted mate. Samantha and Elijah visited several locations, but Samantha chose to have a snack on the hill where she and Seraphine usually hang out. However, Elijah was taken aback when he saw where Samantha wanted to snack. "This is my friend and I's secret hideaway," Samantha explained, smiling. Elijah just smiled and said nothing. He is too shocked to say anything about the location. Samantha continued to tell her story while eating, and Elijah simply listened. "So, how about you? Have you seen your pal?" Samantha inquired. "As the alpha, the Goddess's mate doesn't matter... We prepare a perfect Luna rather than a mate," Elijah responded. "What if you meet your soul mate? So, what would you do?" Samantha inquired once more. "Your father and I have already agreed. And I, as the Crystal pack's alpha, do not mince words "Elijah responded solemnly. Samantha remained silent; Elijah could only mean one thing. He chose her because of an agreement he had with her father, not because he liked her. "The important thing is that you will be good to my people and me; I have nothing else to ask for," Samantha said after a brief pause. Then Elijah and Samantha continued to eat and never mentioned the problems that would ruin their day again. When the two returned to the mansion, it was getting dark. Elijah simply walked Samantha to the door but did not enter. "You go inside first, and I'll walk for a while," Elijah said. As he walked out, he no longer waited for Samantha to respond. Samantha entered the mansion quietly and went straight to her room. ....... Meanwhile, Seraphine walks into the market to wash away the sting of the morning event; she still refuses to accept her friend's treatment. Her Aunt Mara and her mother's stories about getting to know their mates are no longer true for her. Seraphine did not realize she had arrived at the Hill because she was preoccupied. She couldn't help but frown as she remembered the incident with her friend. Seraphine leaned against the tree and spent more time there. "Look, I'm correct! Every day, the beauty we long for arrives." The noise in her back startled Seraphine. She was even more irritated when she noticed ten men approaching her and immediately surrounding her. Seraphine stood up and shook off the weeds that had clung to her clothes. She was about to walk away when one of the men grabbed her arm. "Really? I'd like to channel my rage into something... But, on the other hand, I'm doing my best not to..." Seraphine exclaimed, irritated by the men who had broken the night's silence. The man who was holding her attempted to hug her. Seraphine, on the other hand, attacked the man with her elbow, striking him in the chest. As he knelt on the grass, the man almost writhed in pain. It appeared to be a signal to the nine-man, who was with the man on the grass. The man's eyes turned yellow, and his nails turned into claws. Seraphine was taken aback; she had never seen anything like it. "You're going to be our slave!" sneered one of the man-wolves. Seraphine was unable to respond as the two human wolves charged in and waved their long claws at her. Seraphine jumped high to avoid being attacked, but one of the man-wolves grabbed her leg and threw her into the tree. She coughed as a result of the force of the blow. "Bless these monsters!" Seraphine is irritated. Seraphine punched the monster in the face with the accumulated energy in her fist after quickly blocking one of the attacker's hands. Four men charged at her at the same time. Seraphine's hands were held out while the other caught her foot. "You promise to be our slave, and we'll let you live," one of Seraphine's attackers says. "Looks like you're having fun here," a cold voice said, almost making Seraphine's heart skip a beat. The man-wolves immediately focused their attention on the man who appeared out of nowhere to disrupt their enjoyment. "Perhaps I can join in because I also want to have fun and divert my attention," Elijah's face darkened as he stared at the red liquid on the woman's cheek. Five of the man-wolves charged at Elijah, and their attacks were swift and powerful. But Elijah didn't seem to mind because he easily repelled their attacks. Meanwhile, the three men who are holding Seraphine are preoccupied with her. Her blouse was ripped by one's claw. Seraphine was taken aback when she felt the cold air hit her exposed breast due to the damage to her clothes. The sight of Seraphine's body delights the three men-wolves. But not Elijah; the anger he was suppressing erupted. His eyes turned red, indicating that he was a true Alpha. Elijah's claws appeared and quickly sliced through the bodies of the men attacking him, and the five opponents fell in an instant. He was about to approach the woman as a result of his loss of self-control when energy wrapped around her hand and the three men holding her flew away in a flash. Elijah was taken aback by what he saw, but he quickly vanished when he noticed the woman's sudden crying. He approached her directly and consoled her. When Seraphine felt him approaching her, she immediately hugged him. Despite being stunned, Elijah simply let it go. Because he wanted to embrace his mate from the bottom of his heart. Seraphine calmed down after a few minutes in that position. When Elijah realized she wasn't crying anymore, he took a deep breath and gently pulled her away from him. "I warned you that it's dangerous for women to be alone in this place, but you still haven't listened," Elijah began preaching. He quickly removed his shirt and handed it to his companion, commanding, "Put it on before you go home." Seraphine accepted the shirt and put it on without saying anything. Seraphine followed Elijah's lead and sat on the grass without saying anything. They were perfectly content to gaze at the full moon together.
