Prologue

Elle sat at the kitchen table sipping her morning coffee and contemplating where her life had brought her to this day. She was 34 years old now, soon to be 35 in a few months. To someone looking in her huge floor to ceiling kitchen window, Elle’s life appeared perfect.
“Wow the time has flown by,”she thought to herself. “I've still got it though. My body may not be what it once was, but it was still desirable! Avery certainly never had any complaints. He would even get jealous when he would notice other men looking at me, or other women for that matter,” Elle tnought to herself! “Jealous and proud, that was my man,” she smiled uncontrollably.
Elle had been married for 14, almost 15 years now. She and Avery both got married at the age of 20. A single moment of passion, and one night stand in a hotel elevator during spring break turned into a 7 lb 1 ounce bundle of joy 9 months later. That's when Harper was born. That's when her life changed forever. No longer would she be a sassy, wild, little beauty traveling around the world on her Parents dime. Elle had to suck it up and grow up, real fast! Much faster than she had hoped for! It was time for her to settle down and put her crazy days behind her...or so she thought!
