Prologue - The Lost Lycan Kingdom ***Ivan’s POV*** It caused me physical pain to watch my mate’s mother be arrested for a crime she didn’t commit. If anything, I should be the one getting arrested for treason, but I know that won’t happen. It kept eating away at me until I decided to make a life-altering decision. I had to go to h*ll, and obviously, the only way to get there was to die, but that wasn’t my plan. So I had to contact a witch that could create a portal for me to use, but there’s just one downside. She’s my ex and hates my guts. I knew she would ignore my calls, and I didn’t have time to play telephone tag. So I allowed my wyvern to come forward and flew as fast as possible toward where I hoped she still lived. Eventually, I found a small cottage that still smelled of her. Nearing it, I saw the wear and tear on the place. How long has it been since I’ve been here? The door abruptly swung open. “What the f*ck do you want? We haven’t spoken to or seen each other in how many years?” Her nose started twitching before she gave me a death glare and a confused look. “I smell a lycan and different wolves on you. What happened to that she-wyvern I caught you with? What? Did you cheat on her too?” Her voice had an edge to it. “How many times do I have to apologize? I was just a young hatchling?!” If fire could come from her eyes, it would’ve. “YOUNG?!? You were 101 years old! How is that young?” Her hands were on her hips, the same way she used to do whenever we argued, which was a lot. “Now, we both know for wyvern, 101 is young. But I’m a different beast now. I’ve finally found my mate.” She visibly stiffened. “I don’t see a mark on you, so what happened? Did you cheat on her also, and she rejected you?” Hearing her say that made me almost roar in irritation. Then, she noticed I truly cared for my mate and desired nobody except her. “So what brings you to my cottage since you already have your mate? She does not satisfy you, right?” Within the snap of her fingers, she was half-naked, slowly walking toward me. Instantly, I knew she was attempting to seduce me. Unknowingly, a deep roar escaped from me. Immediately, a sinister smirk grew on her face. “I don’t know what you want from me, but if you want it so badly, have s*x with me, and I’ll give it to you.
