"Why did Alinthi fall into Drakon's rulership?"
Perseus told me that this was Drakon's second attempt to subjugate Alinthi. Their first attempt failed. Their second one was a success. If Alinthi was able to defeat the Drakon Empire before, why did they lose the second time? Could it be out of complacency?
Scion looked at me, hands still busy on the fishing rod. "Their attack happens after the phoenix has taken its slumber, and we can't fight their dragon without the phoenix's protection," he said.
Everything sounds unreal. I still can't believe there is a world different than the one I grew up in. As though life here is simply a fantasy, a dream. Hearing dragons and phoenixes are almost too good to be true.
