“You knew it all along, didn't you?”
He was the first person whom I put my whole trust in. Yet, he only betrayed me. His words, like bubbles, don't stand firm in the course of fate. It pops out once tempted by a temptress.
“Believe me, it wasn't my intention, Psyche.”
He vowed to keep an eye out for Miriam, and now that he'd seen her, he couldn't even bring himself to inform me. I expected him to be honest with me all the time, but he disappointed me.
“I don't know what to believe, Scion.”
My heart is in such turmoil right now, not only because of Miriam, but for a variety of reasons.
