Ara holds Elayna close and runs out the back door of their home. Ara hears Letuth let out a scream. She pauses and starts to cry as she begins to run again. As Elayna watches over her mother's shoulder, as she sees her home she grew up in, going up in flames she sees a dark hooded figure chasing after them. she yells, "Mommy, Look out!" the hooded figure throws a dagger and it plunges into Ara's back. Ara flys forward, dropping Elayna as she collapses. Elayna crawls over to her mother, "Mommy, get up." "I can't my darling." Ara pulls her necklace off and places it in Elayna's hand. "You need to run to your Aunt Shava's." "No mommy!" Ara places her hand on Elayna's cheek. "We love you so much my darling. Always remember that." Ara's eyes turn grey as she takes her last breath and her hand falls to the ground. Elayna starts to cry as she sees the hooded figure running at her; she turns around and runs as fast as her little legs could carry her. for the next 14 years, Shava raised her in the art of sorcery. Elayna is wondering through the market when she stops to smell flowers at merchant. Out of the corner of her eye, she notices a Loxodon. He walks up to her, trying to use vapid pickup lines. She looks at him with anger; she turns and begins to walk away. A couple goblins run up to her and rips her midnight blue diamond necklace off her neck and start to run. The Loxodon sees this and runs after them. As he runs past Elayna, 2 purple lights flash around his head and watches as they hits the goblins in the head. The goblins to a front flip and lands face first into the ground. The loxodon stops as his jaw drops, he looks at her and watches as she brings her right hand down and places it on her hip. The Loxodon walks up to the goblins and grabs her necklace. He walks up to Elayna. "Please forgive me for my rudeness, my name is Drekall." He walks behind her and clasps her necklace back round her neck. "My name is Elayna and thank you for helping me, it was very kind of you; since you made a fool of yourself to begin with." She turns around and places her left hand on her necklace as she closes her eyes and places a kiss upon Drekall's cheek. As a year goes by, an unbreakable bond forms. As they wonder through the market, he asks her to sit on the ledge of a marble white fountain. He takes her left hand and places a silver toned ring anointed with a tear blue gem. As she looks upon the ring, a single tear rolls down her cheek. She places her lips upon his to express her love; a loud explosion happens behind them. They watch as creatures pour into the town, slaughtering and destroying everything in their path. They start to fight some of the creatures, trying to help save thier town. Both becoming exhausted, the creatures start to disperse. They look at each other, trying to catch their breath. Drekall's eyes grow wide. "Elayna, behind you!" A vampire grabs Elayna's arm, twisting it behind her back; it buries it's vangs into her neck. Elayna lets out a blood curdling scream. Drekall runs at her as the vampire disappears, letting Elayna's body collapse to the ground. He drops to his knees, holding her in his arms. She places her bloody left hand upon his cheek; he watches as the light leaves her eyes and they go grey and lifeless, her hand falling to the ground. He holds her lifeless body close as he feels his world has nothing left. Elayna's hair changes from blonde to snow white; she gasps deep for air. Drekall looks at her face as he watches her eyes turn blood red. She feels an uncontrollable hunger take ahold of her. She pushes herself away from Drekall and wraps her arms around herself as she starts to cry. Drekall places his hand on her shoulder. She rips her shoulder away from him. "Elayna, look at me." "You don't want to look upon me. I am nothing but a monster now." He turns her around, and lifts her head for their eyes to meet. "I thought i lost you." "You did. I am not the person you love anymore." She lowers her head as a tear rolls down her cheek. "I'll be the judge of that, Elayna." She looks at him angrily. "I don't want to hurt you. I'm afraid I can't control this hunger that grows inside of me." "Then we'll make sure you always have blood on hand. I love you and i'm not letting you go. We have an unbreakable bond and I swear to the gods, I love you and I always will." Elayna's eyes turn back to the soft purple they once were. She wraps her arms around Drekall as tears roll down her cheek... (This is a back story to my character for Dungeons and Dragons)
