Aaron’s POV
I hesitated for a moment as I made to lift her up. Why should I care about her? She had cheated on me and betrayed me. She was a liar. For all I knew… the child wasn't even mine. So if she lost it, it wouldn't be my loss.
I sat there for another moment. Torn between two worlds as I looked at her pale, unconscious face. I swallowed. What should I do? As my eyes trailed down her body to her legs, where I saw stark red, I realised there was no thinking about it.
I scooped her up as I felt a pang of shame for even considering leaving her there.
I ran into Knight on the way outside.
"The car is ready Alpha Aaron!" He exclaimed and ran ahead of me to open the door.
He jumped in immediately and in a minute we were speeding out of the driveway.
