Final exams

1006 Words
It's been a week since Melissa was discharged from the hospital and she's been staying in her uncle 's apartment with GG, they found out after various testing that GG had done thanks to uncle's nagging. They found out that she's been fighting cancer all her life. It was an open secret that her children decided to ignore. Because of Melissa's final exams, she had to go to school to get her exam card and have her leave approved since she suffered from multiple injuries. It will be hard for her to go to school in her condition. She wasn't able to write the exam in her past life for two years straight. She has a neck brace so it's inconvenient. She got a lot of looks when she got there but she was already prepared for that since its been all over the news. Her Uncle has been working very hard to take those people down. She's still underage so it's inconvenient for her to do things. Melissa went straight to the dean's office along with her uncle and everything went smoothly. She is a straight A student with lots of credentials so they didn't have a problem with her studying at home. The head teacher who hated her to the core surprisingly gave her some of the things she had left behind. The police had already given the school a call with regards to her absence plus they can already see it on the news with the court case still ongoing. It turns out that her grandparents did so many bad things that are coming to light one by one. Thomas has it worse for faking a Will and abusing a minor. He is also charged with a tax evasion, embezzlement of funds and multiple counts of fraud. He's also suspected for the murder of his secretary who was found dead in his office a week after her escape. After going through everything, she went back home and went right back to the books. She didn't write the exam in her previous life because of the injuries and failure to produce the reason why she was absent from school for four months.' The head teacher is also Thomas's mistress which is why she hates me to the core. ' Thought Melissa. No wonder she's still the head teacher with her attitude towards students. She wrote the exam when she was 18 and she remembered that the highest overall score for this year was 720/900. There's physical education that is completed before and will be added to the final exam score of 100 . Two compulsory languages worth 150 marks each, one is English and the other is for an additional language you choose. She had chosen Latin. The high school went to is the top in the country and has over 20 languages to choose from. Then there's a compulsory history and geography also worth 100 each. The last three exams depends on whether you have chosen a science or art plus you get to add an elective subject. For me it was physics, chemistry, biology and business studies as an elective all worth the remaining 400 marks I don't know why but i love the latin language, I chose it because i was already fluent in Spanish, french, Italian, Portuguese, Chinese. Perks of going to the number one school in the country and GG who would teach her when she was young. She went through all her books the whole day before she was done. she had a photogenic memory and it's hard to forget things so it's best to do some questions to get the feel of it. She practiced until evening when her uncle and GG returned from their doctors appointment. I could tell by their faces that it didn't go well. All the doctors we went to told us that she only had a year at most to live which is ridiculous because i remember she passed away a month from now in her previous life. I know that had something to do with my aunt. I feel sorry for her, most treatment will just bring her closer to her death due to her old age. She asked us to send her back to her ancestry village so she could rest there after i finish my exams. I plan to accompany her for a while since we still have to stay in the country until the court cases are dealt with regarding my welfare. I sigh and went to the kitchen to make tea for me and GG plus coffee for uncle. He's been busy with his own work but still has to run around to handle my things. I also know he feels guilty for what happened to even though he didn't know. I also didn't know about him before i died and have tried a countless times to explain to him that it wasn't his fault but well ..... I went to the living room and gave them their beverages before sitting down with a book regarding medicine. " You want to study medicine?" uncle asked " No, I want to do something easier. I have blood phobia so i don't think I'm cut out of this profession. Learning a little more knowledge is never harmful" Mel said remembering her med school tutor Thomas had gotten so she could help his precious daughter with her studies. " Alright, which college have you applied for?" Tim asked not really wanting to be separated from his niece after all this years of not being in her life. " All of them, i don't really know what course i want to do or which profession i should take." Mel replied. They talked a little more gradually lifting GG's mood which had been solemn since they returned. As days passed, the exam dates came with parents and students prepping for the teens last exam in highschool before going to a higher institute that will help them a little with stepping into society.
