[At 8 years old].
Matthew; a caring and friendly boy, with an almost pale white complexion, large brown eyes and curly black hair; he was playing with some cars in the front garden of his house, very entertaining, until he saw how a beautiful eight-year-old girl supposedly got out of a car with a wonderful smile on her face. She was small in stature, shorter than he was because of her age. She had subtle green eyes and straight brown hair that fell to her waist and a bit longer. Her raven sighed and smiled unconsciously looking at her so unique and dreamy.
He also visualized a moving truck behind the family of three getting out of the car. They're the new neighbors! Thought the little one.
Excited because that beautiful girl was going to be his new neighbor, he sat on the steps of the entrance of his house and waited for the right moment to approach the brunette and be able to welcome her.
From one moment to another he saw her alone and half sad, and he did not hesitate to approach her, anxious and happy. With the nerves to rub, he placed his hands behind his back and leaned a little towards her and said a "Hello!"... She replied in the same way, establishing a conversation and little Matt, after having brought out several smiles, he dared to ask her:
—Lenna, do you want to come home to play? — Matthew asked her new neighbor, smiling happily at her after introducing himself to her.
She nodded.
—Well my mom doesn't have a problem —. They held hands and went to her house.
Helena met Peter and Juliet, they made a great couple. The two of them went to Matt's room and played all afternoon. Until it was time to leave, Elizabeth, Lenna's mother, went looking for her daughter. Juliet opened the door and they introduced themselves. Helena and Matthew did not want to say goodbye, so the mothers decided to give them a little more time, while they had tea to get to know each other better and let their children enjoy playing a little more together.
—I liked you, Lenna. You're so cute... — Matt smiled at her.
She blushed.
—Thank you, so do you —. She returned the same innocent smile.
—Best friends? — The black-haired boy held out his right hand.
—Best friends. — Helena affirmed and accepted his hand.
They laughed.
[At 13 years old].
Helena was crying for the same stupid who makes fun of her for her physique and when she saw Matthew with his best friend Camillo nearby, she ran towards them quickly. He was so afraid to see her so desperate while her eyes shed tears that he hugged her tightly and they looked at each other.
—What happened, Lenna? — Cupped her cheeks in her hands.
—H-he, he...
—Did that shitty liner bother you again? — She asked through clenched teeth.
She nodded hurt.
—I kill him. Come on Camillo —. He told himself and began to walk with his best friend, away from Helena. They were going to look for that boy and they were going to kill him for playing bad with his dear friend.
[At 15 years old].
The friendship between Matthew and Helena went to another level, they both loved each other and were anxious. Time passed and her relationship changed to something else, but then Matt began to change with her since her parents separated from her and Peter, her father, moved to La Boca, like Camillo too. He showed the bad side of her and also decided to have another meeting of friends, distancing himself from her best friend; Helena.
—Matt! — She yelled at him approaching him, excited.
Matthew looked at her seriously and then at hers, new friends of hers.
—Ash, she's a bore. — She told his friends and they laughed.
Helena finished approaching him, greeted the others and hugged him.
The black-haired man jerked her away from her body, annoyed at her and at the same time hurt at her for what she had to do.
—Stop bothering, Helena.
She was confused and embarrassed in front of her friends.
—What's up, Matt? — asked without understanding the reason for the rejection.
He gave her a bad look.
—It happens to me that you have me rotten, that's it, stop bothering me. We're done, ready, bye, what are you waiting for? We are not friends, honey — He laughed, — Get out of here.
He made fun of her. Her former best friend, confused by her ugly actions, was so shocked by the situation that she left without saying anything, simply hurt by her cruel words. She didn't recognize him. From there, Helena changed Matthew's perspective. They both drifted away from each other, "forgetting" and continued their lives mutually.
Of course, Helena never understood why Matthew changed so completely.
