"That... she isn't... how could she be with you?"
Amanda looked at me in astonishment, her eyes filled with confusion.
"It's not that simple," I glanced at Rainie and then said to Amanda, "Just like you, I watched you grow up, but you didn't like me, and you fell for Dylan at first sight. It really has nothing to do with looks or the past, right?"
Amanda pursed her lips but still couldn't understand the relationship between Rainie and me. She had known me for a long time and was aware of my habits.
Over the years, women had come and gone from my life, mostly limited to casual relationships, and they were sent away the next day. I had never heard of me taking any woman seriously.
Not to mention that I had passed the Alpha's trial and was about to choose my Luna.
