I took out my phone and answered the call, biting my lip before finally calling out, "Dad."
"rainie, is it inconvenient for you to catch the train? When will you arrive approximately? The soup is already simmering, just give me an approximate time, so Dad can sear the steaks in advance, and you can enjoy them while they're still hot when you return."
