I clutched the sarcastic couple of hundred dollars and got up, feeling a bit dizzy. I went to the restroom, washed my face, removed the remaining makeup, and used cold water to soothe my swollen eyes.
My legs were getting stiff from standing too long, and the high heels were not helping. The corridor outside the venue had marble floors, which were agonizing for me, a woman with a bewildered mind. I ended up tripping and falling to the floor, hitting my knee on the hard surface. It hurt so much that I let out a groan.
