Chapter 1 Moving In
Jessica's P.O.V
"Jess sweetheart can you hand me that box, and be careful it's...fragile." My dad tells me as I accidentally drop it on the hard pavement. The collision caused whatever was inside to shatter leaving some glass shards sticking out of the box.
"I'm really sorry dad." I say rubbing my neck while doing so.
"It's okay why don't you take all your stuff into the house to help your sister unpack the downstairs stuff okay." My dad tells me then kisses me on the top of my head passing me a few boxes to carry into the house.
As I walked into the house I saw that literally nothing had been unpacked I turned and saw my sister sitting on a beanbag chair on her phone. Of course leave it to my older, supposed more mature sister to be lazy and sit on her phone while me and dad do all the work, yeah b***h hell no cause this ain't happening.
"Juliet Sage Maverick get up and get your lazy ass off that beanbag and come f*****g help me unpack." I yelled at her, causing her to stand and walk over to me and unload my arms of boxes and then we started unpacking.
#####
After a few hours all the boxes were in the house and we just had to unpack the whole upstairs still we were done moving in. And since we were all pretty tired but didn't want to sleep my dad decided to start a fire in the fireplace and all three of us sat on the couch watching a Star Wars movie.
##
About halfway through the movie both my dad and sister fell asleep and left me dealing with their heads laying on top of me. So I shook my dad gently. He woke up just enough for me to ask him a question.
"Dad." I asked him.
"Yes sweetheart."
"Can I go surfing for a little while." I begged.
"Yes, as long as you are back by 1 a.m." He said to me, so I jumped up off the couch and ran up to my new room and changed into a one piece swimming suit and took some short shorts and a hoodie then rushed downstairs grabbing my wallet and a towel then stuffing it into a beach bag. Then I went into the garage and grabbed my board and took off running to the beach that was a few minutes away.
