Chapter Five BBQ

With all washing in the laundry, she had one of the Omegas to help in the laundry take the clothes back to their rightful owners. She asked them not to mix the clothes.

Gina told her to put their names on top so they could go back to the right rooms. Gina went back to the kitchen to see what she could make up for lunch, she made fresh bread then cut it to make sandwiches with all different fillings, with a salad on the side.

Fresh tomato with onion soaked in vinegar pepper and salt, then looked to see what was to be made for dinner. She got the two Omegas to clean up while she prepared dinner.

A pot roast she thinks with mushed potatoes and gravy and apple sponge cake and custard, whipped cream, and lemon sauce on top.

Some raw meat was cut up into bite sizes. Again, all just inhaled the food. Once it was all gone some took their plates into the kitchen to thank Gina for the lovely dinner, she just bowed her head with embarrassment. Making her list was easy for her she did most of the shopping in her old pack. The Alpha notices the change in his pack some were more helpful with the lesser pack members making sure they were looked after.

Gina had quietly asked that the elder wolves in the pack receive a care package each week to help them. She had some of the Omegas doing that, while she continued to clean and cook.

Alpha Stephens watches as most of the pack listen to everything Gina had to say he was amazed. She has turned his pack into a happier pack. “Alpha sir, I forgot to give you my list may I give it to you now.” “You may Gina” “Thank you, Sir” “I see what you have done, and I approve.” “Her eyes went wide.

Then she was waiting for the hit or punch, but it never came so she slowly raised her head to look at the Alpha, he was smiling at her.

“No one will hurt you here Gina don’t be afraid to be yourself, but I do ask you to take my Beta if you wish to run or come get me. I don’t trust your former Alpha.” “Yes sir," she whispered.

He nodded, she bowed and hurried away to the laundry to help fold clothes then deliver them back to their owner’s. He had asked her not to bow but it was her way of showing respect to him. Then some of the pack started to do it when he passed them.

He would just nod with a smile it’s like they were copy-catting what Gina did they did.

Gina asked Beta Sean if he would mind teaching her how to fight so once a week, she spent two hours training. Some of the pack would stand and watch asking what was going on. When they saw Gina was training, they asked if they could train as well. Then, all the pack members that were able to fight were training alongside Gina.

The Alpha stood at his window watching and shaking his head. What is it that makes his pack members follow her.

She has a gentle nature to her; her aura is strong she never uses it against any of the pack. He mind linked her again to go up to the office.

He watches her speak to his Beta then runs to the pack house, she is so obedient this child of his brother. She has my brother's mannerisms maybe that’s what they see in her, her quiet nature her Alpha status they follow her because of that. Am I jealous? No, I don’t think so.

Am I threatened? No. She has shown no signs of trying to take over the pack.

A knock on the door takes me out of my thoughts as I call, “come in.” Gina looked frightened. “Come in child don’t be afraid.” I smile trying to make her feel comfortable. “Sit please how are you coming along with your training? “Alpha, I love it Gina gushed, in my old pack they wouldn’t let me train only work.”

“Why was that I wonder.” “I think it’s because of my Alpha blood. “Do you see how you are helping this pack.” "No Sir.”

I’m just letting you know the pack loves you.” “Oh.” She whimpers.

“I just thought it was time we had a chat about our family tree your mother was from Alpha. Gina gasps. “Alpha Gray is my grandfather?” I nod to her. “But he was so cruel to me, so was Leon omg Leon is my uncle “Now you’re getting it.” “Then why do they want me please tell me because I’m stomped.” “I have no idea why. We are true Alphas, that’s why our stars are the same.

But we are not mates. I don’t feel the pull towards you. But I would like to ask you to stand beside me as my stand in Luna. To help run this pack, they already love you. It will only be until I find my Luna.” “Are you sure Sir.” Gina is still showing respect to the Alpha, her uncle, he is becoming quite attached to her.

“Yes, I’m sure it is still in the family I think you will bring lots of changes to this pack.” “Only with your blessing Alpha.” He bows his head to her giving her the respect she deserves.

“Please tell them I’m not their Luna because you are my uncle. I’m only lending a hand until you find your Luna.”

“Then your first duty is to listen to any grievances that the pack has with one another.” “Where shall I set up sir?” “Your office is next door to mine.

Get a feel of it, then through the pack link let them know you will listen to any grievances that anyone has. They are to go to the office beside the Alphas office.” “First Sir I must go put the roast on for dinner.” “I will announce that you are standing in as my Luna, fulfilling her duties until I find my mate.” “Thank you, sir.”

Gina hurried away to put the dinner on. Quickly peeling the vegetables for roasting, cut up raw meat, and made ten blueberry pies with custard then she marched up to her office.

Looking into the room that is to be her office her eyes go wide, there are books with lots of paper everywhere. I’m going to need help, Gina thinks. With that thought in mind.

Gina mind links an Omega to come up to help wash and clean the office with her. She left the desk but wants three chairs.

The Omega told Gina that there were chairs in one of the attic rooms. “Can you go bring two down that will make three for my office.

We can polish them up and give the room a good clean.” They washed the walls, floors were swept, and Gina made a start cleaning the windows while she waited for the chairs to come down. She rushed down to the kitchen to check on her pot roast every so often.

It was coming along nicely taking it off the heat to stay warm. Putting the vegetables in to roast. Gina asked the Omega who was doing kitchen duties to watch the vegetables and not to let them burn or there will be consequences, if you do. “Yes Miss,” the Omega bowed.

As Gina runs back to window cleaning time is moving and its nearing mealtime. By late afternoon everything was finished, and the office was all sparkling clean and Gina was open for business. She thanked the Omega for her help. Then walked down to the kitchen to check on the vegetables. Just as well she did, they were just starting to burn.

“Did I not ask you to check the vegetables for me.” “I did they looked fine to me,” the Omega said with a naughty smirk on her face.

“If I hadn’t come in, they would be burnt for your punishment you will go without food now go help clean up, wash the dishes.” “But that’s too much for me I can’t do all that.”

“Yes, you can Gina replied and yes you will. Don’t test me, you are the laziest of all the Omegas. The rest work hard, while you sit around doing nothing.”

“I don’t have to do what you say, you are nobody.” “Then go complain to the Alpha, but you will do as I say.” Gina used her Alpha tone for the very first time ever on anyone. The Omega looked shocked as she quickly said yes Miss then bowed her head. Gina smiled as she pulled the vegetables out of the oven. Then quickly prepared a custard to go with the pies.

Gina is busy in the kitchen while the Omega’s are setting the dining room up. She was thinking, I must give them something nice for all their hard effort.

I’m pleased at the way the pack house is starting to look clean, and the Pack members’ clothes are looking cleaner as well.

She notices everyone is wearing a smile. All wash their hands to come in for dinner, as the bell is rung. A line of Omega’s carrying food out to lay on the table for each member to help themselves.

The dining hall is deafening with the happy chatter and laughter when Alpha Stephen comes in and sits down. Gina quickly makes up a plate to serve him as she goes to leave, she bows then says enjoy Alpha. After everyone has their full. Gina lets the Omegas have their food and she tells the girl who thinks she is better than all of them to go sit in a corner. She’s not happy. Gina can see the Alpha is watching. He minds linked Gina. “What’s with her.”

“She thinks she is better than all of us she doesn’t want to work so I told her she can sit and watch the other Omegas eat as her punishment. I will give her a sandwich to go to bed with.”

The Alpha stands up and the room goes quiet. “As of today, his voice rang out deep and clear my niece has agreed to take on the role of Luna until I find my mate. You will show her respect. The same respect you would show me, then he sat.

Gina stands and plates up a piece of pie and custard for him asking one of the Omegas to take it to him. She just smiles to herself as she watches her bow with respect then places the plate down in front of him, he thanks her. Everyone else helps themselves to the pie, all Gina hears is moans and groans “Goddess, she’s a good cook.” Gina lowers her head to eat, she is embarrassed.

Next morning Gina gets up early to start breakfast. She has bacon and eggs, mushrooms, sausage, pancakes, porridge, cereal, and grilled tomato with onions.

Mince stew and chopped raw meat into cubes with fresh orange juice and milk, Tea and coffee and finally toast, jam and butter. That should do them for the day.
