Big Mangoes was too enamored by Susan to have any suspicions about what had happened to his men and Ramirez. His only priority was to seduce the girl, who was taking full advantage of his weakness toward her and may have already been formulating a new plan to free herself.
He came close to her with the attitude of a man who was not used to being kept waiting when he wanted a woman. “So, sweetheart, did you enjoy your dinner?”
She wandered around, trying to stall for time to be released from the obligation of the man's advances that were becoming more and more like an octopus, leeching onto her with its tentacles. “The frozen French quiche was delicious, even if I'm having a hard time digesting it. I think I need some fresh air.”
