The Past Is Rising

"Her magic is getting out of control and we need to do something to save her! I will NOT loose my daughter" I said, fearing for my daughter's life. It was then the young girl screamed causing all the lights to flicker and pop. When she stopped screaming she was completely out of it as if she wasn't even there, in her own body. She wasn't even looking at me, she was looking through me and at that moment her nose started bleeding and she passed out no longer conscious. "I know who I need to call he's the only one who can save her but I warn you my love it will come at a price." My husband said already fishing for his phone. " Whatever it takes, you do it! I won't lose her and get him here now!" I screamed. Regretting screaming at my husband but so scared to lose my only daughter. "Hi, this is Gaven Richards. Am I speaking with Derek Henderson?" he asked waiting for an answer. "Hi yes I need a favor please. My daughter is sick and needs attention" he said. "Oh thank you, see you then" and with that he hung up. "He said he'd be here tomorrow morning to discuss the details." he says looking happy to save their little girl but something else was there something I couldn't quite figure out. "Good, and your sure we can trust him?" I asked, starting to get suspicious about how quick this guy agreed to help. It just doesn't make any since, why agree to help so fast unless you were going to be getting something good out of it. "I told you there would be a price and I don't know what it will be. He's a very dangerous man and very wealthy and he's a vamp-" he didn't get to finish before I screamed at him. "What the f**k do you mean he's a vampire? He will want to claim her on her 18th birthday!" I screamed, now fearing for my daughter's life. "And how exactly do you know that?!" he screamed pissed at the idea flowing through his head right now. "Because my parents did it to me but I ran!" I screamed back. Instantly regretting telling him anything. "WHAT THE f**k! And you didn't think to tell me? Why? Why did you not say anything?" he sounded so hurt now and my heart broke. I couldn't hold it in any longer. "Because I have the same powers... how do you think she has them? It's genetic she got it from me amd I got it from my mother. It happens to every female born in my bloodline. We are witches, we are the reason vampires and werewolves exist in this world." I explained and watched the color drain from my husbands face. "So what your saying is that witches run in your bloodline. That your a witch and so is our daughter and you didn't think this was something I should've known when we met?!" he said pissed now. "I was scared for myself and for my daughter." I cried. Feeling so lost, my daughter will be promised away because of my mistake. "And look where being scared has gotten you. If you would've told me I could've helped you but you didn't even trust me enough to tell me. And it's not even that you didn't tell me but you didn't trust me!" he cried. I felt so guilty having him look at me like this. It breaks my heart. "I'm sorry, I'm so so so sorry!" I cried. I feel as if everything has been taken from me. He will never love me again after this. It's over. "You should've told me but you didn't and now our daughter is suffering. Her magic is too strong and it will kill her so if the vampire wants to claim her on her 18th birthday then I will agree and this will be your punishment for lying to me for 27 years. And I will be grateful as long as my daughter is alive even if he beats her. She will be his. And he can do whatever he wants." his last words hit me so hard I scream and cry not knowing how to feel. I've known him to be cruel sometimes but this was far worse. He's beat me to wear I cant even go to work because I can't walk. And he r***s me hoping to impregnate me again but he doesn't know I tied my tubes after having my beautiful daughter Emerald. And I am extremely scared for him to ever find out. "NOOOOOOO! You can't do that she's your daughter, you are supposed to protect her?!" I all but cried. Now I was feeling the urge to protect my daughter. I held her in my womb for 9 months that I'll be damned if he thinks I will sit quietly by and watch him sell her to a monster. "YEESSS! I will because I can and if you do anything to jeopardize this I will KILL you!" he snarled at me. I stay quiet plotting how to save my daughter even if he does kill me, she will be safe. This is what I promise to her as well as myself. She will never be harmed. And if I fail to protect her then I will keep trying until I know for sure she will always, always be safe.
