She was a good driver—no, she was an excellent driver, completely in tune with the vehicle, even though he doubted she’d ever driven a police Jeep before. She seemed to intuitively understand its capabilities and limitations. He’d suspected her skills before they were broadsided, but that incident made the truth clear.
