chapter Eight:The structure.

"what do you mean,can't I sit on the table".I said.

"she is clueless obviously very stupid".Ellis said angrily,he was very angry and he deserved to be limping.

"We have a structure in this house, the upper are the ones who sit on the red chairs,the middle the blue chairs, the lower the yellow chairs. you have no right to sit at the the table".Brandon said.

"You haven't earn your place here and has not contributed to the household expenses, the red are the people that earn well so they get any good food they desire,the red choose what the food for the blue for the blues,while the blues earn fairly, they choose food for the yellow because those people earnings are low. If you are not within these categories you don't get food or sit at the table".lady Martha said,I was so shocked this is cruelty.

"What this is wrong".I said calmly.

"No food for you except you want to eat the remnants which I doubt that there will be any".Draco said mockingly and I left.

I had my bathe and then I sat on the bed watching TV.I was to hungry to fall asleep and then I went to the bathroom when I came out thaniel was back he looked really tired.

"Good evening".I said he Ignored me and went to the bathroom.I felt so bad but then I continued watching TV.

"turn off the TV I want to sleep".he said as he came out of the bathroom.

"Look Mr thaniel,I am sorry for what happened this morning,I really didn't want to upset you I just wanted to feel the breeze and sunlight ".I said was struggling to hide my tears I hate to explain things that made me angry. he ignored me again. I walked to him, I disliked being taken for granted.

"You know what I am trying my best to understand your ways,I am still learning but one thing I will not take from you is taking me for granted,you haven't apologised for insulting me in the morning even when I said sorry you ignored me".I said and he gave me a gift bag.

"I am sorry for the way I spoke but don't open the windows next time I got you a new bra's that one seemed too tight for you".he said,I was amazed by thaniel's acts, he was really sweet at time,I hugged him.

"Thank you so much".I said.

"let me go".he said and I did.

"look can you help me get a job".I said as I kept the bag in the closet.

"What for".he said as he lied on the couch.

"I need to earn money,or else I will starve to death".I said worriedly and he laughed.

"look am sorry but you can't work outside, find something to do inside so you will get paid".he said

"you are so inconsiderate,my husband is a red yet I can't even eat properly".I complained.

"I bought food for you'".he said,I was so hungry that I forgot that the food was on the table.I hurriedly open the plate but I was sad at the sight of the food.

"you bought leaves".I said in disbelief and then he laughed.

"these are vegetables they are very healthy". he said.

"I don't like vegetables Mr thaniel,you ruined my excitement".I said.

"The bin is at that corner you can waste it".he said.

"I will eat it,thank you".I said as I ate,I had no other option,I was really hungry. thaniel slept off. I finished eating and went to bed.

I woke up early,I was too worried to sleep thaniel was still sleeping,I got ready and was about to leave when thaniel woke up.

"Good morning mr thaniel".I said. he was so suprised.

"good morning you are up early".he said.

"I have to responsible if I want to work".I said

"Don't get killed".he said.

"you will die first then bye".I said and left.

I went downstairs and I waited for lady Marie ,I was already very impatient then she finally came downstairs with Brandon.

"good morning lady Marie".I said.

"What do you want".she said as she sat down.

"I need a job".I said and she laughed.

"she is so funny Brandon".she said mockingly.

"I hate her guts mother".Brandon said.he was a mommy's boy.

"lady Marie if you aren't willing to get me a job don't waste my time".I said

"language girl,how dare you".Brandon said angrily.

"I wished the hole wasn't destroyed you would have been thrown inside,but I have a job for you follow me".she said smiling.as she stood up. she took me to the fields.

"I want you to pluck all these fruits and weed this part today ".she said, the place was big, there was no way I could finish it in one day.

"fine,I hope I get my money after doing this".I said,I wasn't going to appear weak in front of her .

"I will leave you to it".she said and left.

Thaniel was about to go downstairs when he bumped into Ellis.

"watch were you are going fool".Ellis said angrily

"I heard you fell down".thaniel said mockingly.

"your wife put him in this state he was misbehaving with her".lady Martha said.

"Martha who called you into this matter".Ellis said angrily.

"stop being so frustrated okay".she said and walked away.

"look thaniel you are happy your wife kicked me so hard,I promise you I will deal with her".Ellis said angrily.

"I am scared for you,she might end up beating you badly next time that you might be bedridden".thaniel said smiling.

"I have nothing to say to you fool".Ellis said and left.

I finished working in the evening,I was so tired and cold it was raining heavily,.papa's skill of using a big stick to pluck fruits helped. I had an alternative plan incase lady Marie tries to play her tricks on me.I carried the fruits to the storehouse.

"mother I must say this is the most peaceful food we have ever had since that witch came here".Brandon said.

"I agree she is trouble".Draco said.

"I don't know how thaniel is able to put up with her".lady Marie said.

"lady Marie leave me out of this".thaniel said.

"it's seems that he likes her".beth said smiling.

"Shut up you don't you have manners".Ellis said.

"you must still be in pain,light kicked hard".beth said mockingly.

"really, you are a coward".Brandon said smiling and Draco laughed.

"Ellis did she really put you in this state".lady Marie said smiling.

"Mother it happened quickly and you know am a gentleman".Ellis defended but Draco laughed mockingly.

"Gentle man indeed you are a coward, thaniel I must commend your wife she did well".Draco said.

"I am not going to let this insult slide".Ellis grumbled.

"look Ellis just deal with it you got beaten by a woman not even a woman a girl".lady Martha said smiling.

"let's just forget about it,mother you had better warn your your sister she has been getting on my nerves".Ellis said angrily.

"I am so sorry but am not the responsible for the state you are in,pardon my manners lady Marie".lady Martha said mockingly.

"look Ellis it's very disappointing that you she did this to you, it's shows that you aren't man enough to handle a girl".lady Marie said

"she is a razz and uncultured girl".Ellis said and I walked in.

"good evening everyone".I said smiling.

"you look terrible and what's with that smell". lady Martha said as she held her nose.

"it's the smell of hard work,but you know you might be smelling I don't have time to argue with you lady Marie I have finished the job I want my money".I said.

"You must be really stupid and clueless,it's your right to work for us without getting paid".lady Marie said.

"Lady Marie choose your words carefully".I said.

"how dare you".she said as she stood up.then I spat on her face..........
