Chapter 27: Oath

Heaven’s Gate Harbour

Loki and Dion arrived to absolute chaos. The port had  been saved as Thule ships were either destroyed by the Kraken or had withdrawn. However, there was no one rushing around as expected in the harbour, if fact the harbour was deadly quite.

“Something is not right!” Loki growled as he put Dion down on the dock side. Dion saw a dog and on closer inspection saw it was Amaethon.

“Amaethon? Are you OK? Amaethon?” Dion said gently poking the dog. Suddenly, Dion began to feel tired and started to yawn.

“Dion? Are you alright?” Loki said walking over.

“I feel like really tired all of a sudden. I think I am just going to rest my eyes for a few minutes” Dion said sitting down by Amaethon and yawning again.

Loki cursed and closed his eyes to call upon his power.  He began murmuring a spell and suddenly the fog began to thin and then disappeared. Dion and Amaethon began to wake up.

“What happened?” Dion asked standing up

“A sleeping spell, a child’s trick!” Loki spat.

“Jamie? Jamie where are you? Fluff? Windsoul!” Amaethon mind link furiously. Windsoul and Fluff quickly appeared.

“She has been taken by Thule Mages!” Amaethon growled before throwing his head back and howling.

Fluff yowled in furry and Windsoul reared whilst pawing the sky.

“What is happening?” Dion asked worried. The guardians were acting in a way he had never seen before and it was making him fearful.

“That Bastard has taken her! Jamie has been taken by Raoul!” Fluff’s voice boomed in everyone’s mind. It was incredibly powerful as Fluff was drawing upon his God power.

“What?!?” Loki roared.

“This transgression will not go unpunished! I, Night-Song First Born son of Bastet and Ovinnik, swear I will end that miserable’s mortal’s life!” Fluff roared as his whole body shimmered silver. There was a clap of thunder, an indication that his Clowder had heard his oath and agreed. Amaethon and Windsoul were making similar Oaths, but Dion’s attention was firmly fixed on Loki.

Loki had launched himself into the air and was hovering over the harbour. Waves of black light were rolling off him as he began to release his power.

“How dare you mortals take the mate of my Alpha and friend. You will all pay for this with your lives!” Loki roared. His eyes glowed white as suddenly mortal in the harbour and on their beaches fell to their knees. 

“Loki? What is happening?” Dion shouted.

“Behold Loki unleashing some of his power!” Fluff mind-linked furiously. It was clear Fluff had lost it and was allowing his temper to show.

Suddenly Dion was gasping and he felt like his soul was being ripped from his body. A sliver mist was flowing out of his mouth towards Loki. 

“You will all become part of my army and know that you never find peace mortals! You will fight for my eternity at my command and will feel the pain of death countless times! Know this and despair!” Loki roared as many souls were flowing towards him.

The Mountains on Thule’s boarder.

“Make sure the refuges are housed and fed. Treated the wounded in the cellar and make sure every water user is down their helping” Richard ordered. He didn’t know what the heck was happening, but he knew desperate and scared people when he saw them.

Suddenly he felt a chaos energy that he had not felt in a thousand years. Amon started to crazy at the back of his mind. He wanted to be at his friend’s side!

“Edward and Harper, did you feel that?” Richard mind-linked them

“Yes and our demons are going mad. They are saying that Loki is at Heaven Gates Harbour and has gone crazy with anger.

“Let’s go!” Richard commanded praying that what he was thinking was not true. The three of them teleported to Heaven’s Gate Dockside and instantly saw what was happen - Loki was slowly killing every mortal in a 10 mile radius!

“Loki! Stand down!” Richard ordered.

“No Alpha!” Loki roared

Richard let Amon take over and he started to call his power. Loki was extremely powerful, but Amon was an Alpha and therefore much stronger.

“Loki, stop what you are doing and report now!” Amon said. Loki stopped instantly, much to Dion’s relief, and landed on the dockside. Loki instantly fell to his knees and showed his neck as a sign of subservience. This made Harper and Edward extremely concerned as Loki had never done this before,  as Richard tended to be easy going as an alpha. 

“Tell me what has happened and where my mate is?” Amon growLed

“My Alpha, I offer my life as penance for my mistake” Loki said looking to the ground.

“That has not answered my question Loki!” Amon snapped.

Dion was about to say something, but Edward put a silence spell on him and shook his head. Dion realised that Edward had just saved his life, as to interfere now would mean his death. 

“She came here to save the people and she has been taken by Raoul’s war Mages” Loki said

Harper and Edward instantly let their demons take over, as Bast and Dagon knew this was going to get ugly.

“I am sorry Amon” Loki said bowing his head.

“Sorry?! You are sorry?! Do you have any idea what is going to happen to her?” Amon roared.

“Which is why we need to find her. Now!” A male voice said. Everyone turned in surprised to see Eric in full rogue gear, with a couple of his best men behind him. It was clear he was ready to go to Thule to find Jamie. Fluff had obviously found him and told hi, what happened.

Amon growled and looked back at Loki. 

“Far be it for me to tell you what to do with your people..” Eric started to say.

“Then don’t!” Amon snapped

Eric sighed and said “Trust me, I am beyond pissed too. I will be taking..restorative action when the time comes. But Jamie will be devastated if you hurt her friend, especially over something that was her choice. Now Amon, can I please speak to Richard? We need to get her back and safely in our arms.”

Dagon and Bast held their breath’s, a mortal speaking to a demon like this was unheard of! However, they soon realised that this was no normal mortal, but one mated to the Moon Child. Amon would never cause his mate pain by hurting Eric. Especially when it was clear that Eric loved the very bones of Jamie and would die to protect her.

Amon nodded and let Richard take over. “We need to find her...she is beyond terrified” Richard said 

“I know, I can feel it too” Eric said anxiously.

Jamie woke up to find herself chained and  hanging upside down in a dark dungeon. There was a strange device around her neck and she felt extremely weak. She opened her minds eye and saw a sickly green fog in the shape of a man.

“Raoul!” Jamie spat.

Raoul smiled and said “Hello My beautiful mate, now nice it is to see you awake”

“I am not your mate!” Jamie said

Raoul laughed and said “oh my sweet kitten, you soon will be. Just you wait!”
