Jamie hesitated for a minute,  Niorun helped her last time, but Gods were known to be fickle.  “Please sit, if I wanted to hurt you I would have done so already. You don’t remember, but we were very close before your banishment” Niorun said before Mareritt Nudge Jamie foward. Jamie sighed and sat in the table opposite the God of Dreams. She was a little unnerved by the totally white eyes Staring at her. “Yes I am blind child, well technically” Niorun said as he waved his hand. The chess board reset itself. “Technically?” Jamie said she instinctively moved a pawn forward two spaces. This whole situation seemed incredibly familiar, like she had done this a hundred times before. “A strong opening as always my dear Nice” As Niorun moved his pawn forward to block Jamie’s pawn. Jamie moved her bishop out to the centre attacking the centre. Niorun moved his Knight out. “To answer your question, I see the world beyond the one most mortals see. A world that is made of the energy of the universe. It is often in ...” Niorun said “In threads, threads of colour” Jamie said moving her Knight so it was attacking a Queen and a Rook. “Humph, I taught you that move! But yes, I seen you experienced this sight already. Everything in this universe has its own unique energy, which can be seen by beings with clear minds. Often it is too cluttered by what the being sees with their eyes. Which is a dangerous thing to do because the eyes can be easily tricked” Niorun said taking the Knight. “But the minds eye can’t be?” Jamie said moving out her other Bishop “It can be by emotion and you are a emotional creature. I blame your Father, but truth be told it is the wild and Elemental magic in you” Niorun said moving his Bishop to attack the Jamie’s central pawn. “I am getting better at it, but it is hard” Jamie said defending her Pawn. “You are much better, but there is always room for improvement. Anyway, by being able to see the threads you can become a Weaver” Niorun “A Weaver? You mean a warrior of Zuy?” Jamie said taking Niorun’s pawn and he returned the favour. “They took the name, but true weavers have been around since time began. Look” Niorun said and he waved his had. Suddenly a blue thread and a white tread appeared in front of them. Niorun took each thread and tied them in a butterfly knot. Suddenly, the threads shimmered and turned into a small cloud of fog. “But I can make fog already!” Jamie argued as the fog dissipate. “Yes, by calling two separate elements and using your life force to get them to obey! This way, none of your life force is used and you be able to do spells you have only dreamed of! It is also much faster, which is good in battle. Check” Niorun said “But what is the cost? There is always a cost!” Jamie said taking the Bishop “This is a different sort of magic, it is more rearranging the fabric of the universe rather then creating it. It is the force of will of the Weaver that determine the outcome of spell. The more complex the knot or Weave, the more will is required” “I am just ...” Jamie said “Feeling completely useless and out of your depth?” Niorun said  “Check! Yes” Jamie said “Well maybe people in the mortal realm should be more helpful, isn’t that right Lux? Come out of the shadows now and I won’t be offended that you are sneaking round my realm” Niorun said not looking up from the board. Lux walked out, looking apologetic.  “ I am sorry, I just had to check on the Princess. As you can imagine we have all been going mad with worry. Then her mates turned up and..” “Who would have thought a direct descendant of the Demon of destruction would want to destroy the barrier between him and his mate? But it is good that you are here, sit” Niorun said and a third chair appeared at the table. Lux sat down and asked “How mad is Richard?”: Jamie blinked and looked at Lux, he never seen him so nervous before! “Mad? He is not mad at you, if anything it is me he is mad at!”  “I don’t think that is true at all” Lux said “My Nice is not lying. Check again my dear” Niorun said after moving his Queen. “Besides it is me that should be apologising, I left without telling you where I was going. I am sorry and trust me Richard is not mad” Jamie said. “You rely to much on your Queen. Anyway, we have bigger things to discus then your love life. Did you notice the colour of Raoul’s eyes when you where last here?” Niorun said “His eyes? Yes they were lime green” Jamie said looking at her Uncle “And have you noticed if the mortal has got more powerful recently?” Niorun asked “Yes, even in the dream realm I could sense his aura was much more powerful” Lux said stroking his chin thinking. “Indeed. No mortal could have made a pocket world, only a high class demon could” Niorun said “But that is not possible! Raoul already has a Demon, Blackthorn!” Jamie pointed out. “s**t, he has bound his werewolf and joined with a high class demon! Do you know who it is?” Lux said. “Hannya the high Demon of Jealousy” Niorun said  “Of course, the Demon will find lots to graft on to in Raoul’s soul” Lux said sadly. “Poor Blackthorn” Jamie said sadly remembering the black wolf she met and loved. “Do not concern yourself child, I know your Mother has intervened and is looking after him” Niorun said kindly. “This is not good! Raoul has just become 10 times more dangerous!” Lux said “Yes and from the dreams my Night Mares have been collecting, Raoul has been trying to creat hybrid with chaos pit demons” Niorun said “NO! That can’t be true....the human vessel would slowly be devoured and they would be driven to madness!” Lux said angrily  “Do you think Raoul cares about the well-being of the host? He is arrogant enough to thing he can control the forces of chaos” Niorun pointed out. “This is important information, we could be facing these hybrids on the battle field” Lux said deep in thought. “I tell Eric and Richard as soon as I wake up. Ahh I see now, you checkmated me! Well done for wining the game, I feel I was not much of a match” Jamie said with a Smile. Niorun chuckled before saying “well I do have a few more thousand years on you. But I would like to play again sometime” “I would like that too. I can feel myself waking up, I must bid farewell” Jamie said as she started disappear. “That is the way of things in the Dream realm. Farewell till next time” Niorun said as Jamie’s form completely disappeared. “I must go as well, apologies once again” Lux said bowing his head. “Make sure you look after her, she has a hard road ahead of her. Such responsibility on such small shoulders” Niorun said as Lux disappeared. Niorun sighed as Mareritt came over to be petted “What do you want Crone?” “Can’t I visit an old friend?” The Crone Goddess said walking out of the shadows and sitting on Jamie’s chair.  “Yes, I will join you in the battle against chaos” Niorun said as the board reset itself. “Oh? Why?” The Crone said as the chess pieces started moving by themselves. “She has gone too far this time! She is interfering in the mortal realm far to much! I have seen He dreams of the mortals in Thule, they are ...most unpleasant to say the least” Niorun said with a sigh. “Well, this war just got a lot more interesting. Checkmate!” The Crone said with a crooked smile.
