I laid lazily in Mark’s embrace, the heat of his body blanketing me like a shield against the entire world, and felt his even breathing in my hair, while his hand remained wrapped around my waist as if even in his sleep, he refused to let me go. I wanted to stay like this forever, in our little world in the place where I found my soul. Mark moved in his sleep, a pleased expression on his handsome face. My mark. It felt so natural to be with him – like the air that I breathed or the heart that beat in my chest.
