We drove on sideways again, almost the whole next day and part of the night and I insisted we switched places. Finally calmed, Mark wasn’t looking at me anymore, as if he was afraid to face me even though he had agreed to stay by my side. He still expected me to blame him for something, as if he felt guilty for what happened. Maybe he should, maybe we both should, but some part of me, the feral one, the wolf, didn’t give a damn.
