Chapter Four Aileen twiddled her thumbs as she contemplated her options. Number one: let Isla down. She took a shaky breath. That option didn’t exist, although at the moment, it seemed like an outcome with a high possibility. With your stupidity, there’s about seventy percent chance of it happening. Aileen cleared her throat. She could jump blindly into this with both feet or she could weigh her choices. Her logic, or lack thereof, had led her to death’s door just a few weeks ago. She’d also need to deal with Walsh without Callan. She didn’t see eye to eye with him, and she wasn’t the one with the handcuffs.
