Epilogue

4 years later

“Happy Birthday to you, Happy Birthday to you, Happy Birthday to Grace, Aria and Paige, Happy Birthday to you”, everyone yelled. 

The entire house was singing to them. Isaiah and Isaac surprised them with this big house party. Decorations were everywhere in pink, blue and purple. The room was so beautiful. They were in the ballroom where they held birthdays, occasional parties and baby showers. They had been filled with joy and everything was running smoothly. 

Isaiah was running the house as a school now, new mutants found their way to them. They were not sure how people knew about them. The house was lowkey and under an invisibility cloak, no one should find them. He knew when someone was close to the border and most times the mutants were hurt. He did have contact outside of the school but he was careful as they could not find him.

Aria was dating Darren, it took some time, of course. Teaching the twins things their grandmother did not. They were part witches so they needed to know everything. 

Grace was finally back to her normal self, hair color and feeling her sister’s presence again. She was also teaching the younger mutants how to used their powers. 

Paige was the lead trainer in combat, alongside Isaac. Some of the mutants did not have their powers yet and some only had one that could not fully protect them. Out of the two of them, Paige was filled with lost, and Isaac anger so they chose to put it to good use by fighting. Paige was also dating Kevin. He was very persistent and she did like him. She was not sure she should try again after Mark. Her sisters convinced her, barely trying. 

The girls blew out the candles on their three layered cake, wishing for more days like this one. Cheers and yays were loud then silence. There was nothing. No one was around. The girls were sitting there shocked. Where was everyone? They looked to each other in confusion. Paige went to stand, at the same time Cora appeared.

“You all are in great danger. Before the ending of next year there will be a war. One you all did not finish. You have to be ready, train hard and make sure the mutants you saved will fight with you. The twins may be involved again but Aria please be open-minded about it. They are useful and will help you, teach them what I taught you and more. Beware the green smoke that surrounds you. Ohh and happy birthday darlings”, Cora disappeared.

Everyone was still cheering and singing as if nothing happened. The girls quickly realized that they just had a vision at the same time and while they were all awake. Darren was cutting the cake while everyone was either going to the dance floor or back to their seats. 

“You all look like you saw a ghost”, Kevin said looking at the picture he took of them. “And why is it so dark, I am sure I had the flash on”. He looked at his camera.

Isaiah and Isaac were already standing in front of them waiting for answers. 

“We so have to redo that”, Grace said looking at the picture she took from Kevin. She past it to Aria and Paige, when Isaiah took it before they could even see it. 

It was like a shadow of a person was there. They girls were listening carefully and terrified at the same time, as Isaiah described it. Aria's eyes were clouded over in that indigo color. There were a set of deep purple eyes as well coming from behind the girls but he could not make out who they belonged to. 

“Let us see Isaiah”, Paige said.

“See what?”, Darren and Isaac said in unison.

“The creepy picture of the girls”, Kevin said.

Isaac took it from Isaiah and immediately dropped it. “He’s coming for us”, he said spooked, as he walked out of the ballroom.
