Unbreakable Bond

Chapter 10

Aria, Darren and some of the people that Darren trusted were on the way to Ibiza, Spain. It took them about ten hours to get there. They went to the hotel for this rescue trip to rest because tomorrow the fun begins. Aria was tired and anxious at the same time. When they were to leave that morning, she went back to the cell Zackary was in because she was going to take him. Those couple of days there, as she was getting prepared to save her sister, she felt Zackary needed to go with her. When he was not there she questioned the guard who told her nothing. Then she went to General Hall.

"Where is Zackary?", she asked him while he was speaking to someone.

"He was moved to a better facility", the General said, smiling at her.

She was disgusted and it showed on her face. 

"You killed him, didn't you?", she yelled in his face.

"Of course not. We are helping them and moving them into better place for them to live comfortable", he said not liking her tone or accusations.

Just as she was about to speak Darren walked up saving her from being put into a cell. He knew what was going on here and he played his part.

"Hey Aria we better get going, the plane takes off soon", he said pulling her to the planes direction.

"This is not over and if I find out something happened to him, you will have to answer to me", she said being dragged away. She snatched her arm away from Darren.

"Do not say anything else", he said to her. 

He knew they were watching so he grabbed her arm again. "Just follow my lead until we are out the door", he said low enough for only her to hear.

She looked at him like he had double heads. She was not doing anything but what she wanted. Right now she wanted to kill General Hall. She snatched from him again but this time he had a tighter grip and pulled her to him.

 "Yank again and I will have to taze you", he yelled in her face.

She looked back at everyone and they were indeed watching them. Aria looked in Darren's eyes and said low for him only "You seem to be one of them easily". 

It caught him by surprise and he stopped walking for a second. He just looked at her, then continued to walk again. Once they reached outside he let her go and told her to get on the plane.

Four hours on the plane ride Aria was thinking of everything her grandmother told her. She's this and she's that. She was worried about Zackary and missed her children. She listened to Darren talking to his peers and hated them all. She wanted to kill everyone of them, something did not sit right with her. She just watched them. Darren is not actually like them but how did he switch like that? Was it just for the General? She was confused and uneasy.

The next morning they were in a submarine headed towards the Society. Aria had her headphones in with her eyes closed. They said it'll take about two hours before they reach the border. She blocked everything out. There was a pulling feeling she always got when she was getting closer to her loved ones. As they approached the border, Aria open her eyes and moved to the window as she began searching for her sister. She saw so many people and knew Paige was there somewhere. Instead of finding Paige in her search, she saw her children, unconscious behind some tall broad man who was watching the others board the submarines.

"Darren, they can't see us right?", she asked him with panic in her voice.

"No why?", he asked back.

"Do you see my children? Why are they-", she stopped and saw Jacob talking to some guy standing next to him who looks angry.

 "What is my husband doing here?", she said more to herself.

"Jacob's here?", Darren said surprised. 

Why would Jacob be here? He is hard to trace and seems to be off the grid, when I was looking for him before we left. If he's a', Darren thought were cut off.

"He's a mutant Aria", one of Darren's men said.

"What?", Aria said turning her head to the man, frowning her face at him..

"I can tell, one of my powers", the man shrugged.

Aria turned back to the scene in front of her. She found her. Then pointed in the direction where she saw Paige about to attack the man who was hiding.

Everyone was boarding the second submarine as Markus approached them. Before he could say anything Angel electrocuted him with high voltage. Mark saw this but had to wait; he wanted to kill Paige and get Kat. Sam looked around, waiting on another attack. Jacob saw him and extended his hearing. He heard heavy breathing as if someone was angry.

"We know you are hiding Mark", Jacob yelled looking around for him.

"Where is he", Paige said to Jacob, on full beast mode.

"Go to the left he's behind one of the trees", he said to Paige only. 

She nodded and began walking in that direction. When she got a good distance behind Mark, she saw her niece and nephew. What the, she thought. Her first plan was ruined. She's going to kill Jacob for bringing them, but first Mark.

"Come out Mark, you scared to die?", Jacob was taunting him. He knew Paige would get to him before he came out.

"I have your children Jacob, I told you if you were doing funny business I will enjoy ending you", Mark said.

Jacob was quiet. He did not think anyone got to his children. He left them on one of the submarines, cloaked. How did he find them?

"Nothing to say Jac-", he was silenced when Paige wrapped the twine they use to signal when people are close, around his neck. 

Tighten the grip every time he tries to pull away. She is securely on his back, using her weight to stay behind him. Mark is struggling to get out of the hold. He force his body backwards, in tempt to knock Paige off, up against a tree. Paige is already a step ahead of him, thinking he would do that, as she push off his back to land in a handstand on his shoulder. Mark fell into the tree hurting his back, while Paige is holding on tightly to the twine and flips him hard, knocking the wind out of him. As he flips, she flips as well, sure not to let go. They land with Mark on the ground with his neck snapped and Paige knees on his chest. She stood up, brush the dust off her clothes and move toward her niece and nephew.

"Paige can you hear me?", Aria asked in their telepathic link.

 Darren was looking at Aria as her eyes clouded over with that beautiful indigo color. He knew she was talking to Paige.

"Yes Aria. Where are you?", she asked.

"Right here, in a submarine. We are cloaked so you cannot see us. We thought we were coming to help but seems like you got it covered", she joked. 

It was not a joking matter but she did things like that absentmindedly.

"Well we did almost die twice", Paige said laughing. "I do need to get back. Jacob has the submarines just about ready to ship off".

"I'm going to kill him", she said ending the link.

It came out louder than she expected she did not care. They've reached the barrier, which she could have gotten them through; with newfound energy she broke the barrier that stopped anyone from getting in or out without access. Aria was full of rage and confusion. She figured that he was the one who was blocking her powers. It all made sense now and he was going to pay.
