Chapter 15

1601 Words
In exactly three days time, Paige and Aria had everything set up in the room that Isaiah recommended. It was more space, almost empty with two couches, a large rug and a long table. No one new about it; except all of them now.  Isaac have been working on secret rooms since before they were taken by The Society. This was the second room he finished. There was one way in and one way out, two different spots. Isaac did not want anyone in this room unless it wa an emergency. It's one of the safe rooms for children, the reason he picked this room. They were all there waiting on their grandmothers appearance. They knew that their grandmothers were not going to come until the moon was at its highest. That is when everything will begin. The room was set the way their grandmother told them to have it. Black dust was in the middle of the floor for when they pulled Grace out of wherever she was. It was big enough for her body to appear but small enough for them to be around it when it was time. They were nervous and worried about what could go wrong. Aria was sitting on one of the couches anxious and in thought. She was worried about why her twins had to be the connection and what if something went wrong. She wanted everything to be perfect but without her twins involvement. Jacob had already used them to find her. 'Jacob', she said in a whisper to herself. She leaned back on the couch and closed her eyes as she thought of the first day she met him and how she was so sure he was human. He did not show any signs of mutation. She thought he was perfect for her because she wanted a family, she had a vision of him so she knew he had to be the one for her. 'Such a fool'. What she did not know was that he was assigned to her. To block her powers and track her, wherever she went. He knew everything about her but she knew nothing about him. How could he possibly love me? Love my children? Never again will I ever trust someone else, she vowed to herself. Paige and Isaac were the exact same person. They chose to sit on the rug on the right side with the twins and play a few games, to get their mind off what was about to happen. The twins were telling them all the things they knew about Grace and what she promised them once she returned. She want to teach them all the games she played as a little girl. So they were excited. Isaac had a soft spot for children, no one but Isaiah knew why. Isaiah was in the far left corner, closet to when they entered. He was not worried at all. He was the oldest and was to protect all of them. He was so calm and patient with everything. He liked having more siblings but did not get the chance to enjoy it though. Isaiah was the most prepared for what was to come and he will take the full burden to spare is siblings. At that moment he looked around the room at all of them, at that moment a light smoke appeared. It is time, he thought. Cora and Dorothy appeared and to everyone's surprise so did the one person who was taken away from them far too soon. Emma. "Mother", Isaiah said low but they all heard him. Emma turned to him and smiled, he was not prepared to see her. He hasn't seen her since he was a five year old boy.  "Hello my dear", she greeted him. They were all so stuck and dumbfounded that when she spoke again it was as if she gave them permission to move.  "My, look how you all have grown. I can't believe my eyes", she began to walk towards Isaiah because he was walking to her absently. "He will not feel you Emma", Dorothy said, which stopped them both in their tracks. "Oh nonsense" Cora said.  As she said that the smoke came and gone. What stood before them now were their mother and Cora in the flesh. Isaiah reached his mother and squeezed her so tightly. Paige and Isaac came running together and hugged her as well. Paige had tears in her eyes. The twins were now sitting on each side Aria. They never seen her like this before. Aria was glued to the couch. She was just looking at everything before her. Her mother stood before her now. She was smiling at Aria who was holding her babies to her. She knew her mother was dead and that she would be gone again once this was all over. She did not want to get attached. "Aria sweetie, are you okay?", Emma said while kneeling in front of her. Aria just shook her head, she did not even realize she was crying. "Ohh do not cry my love. All will be well. We have to help your sister. Are you ready?". Aria nodded. "I need to hear your voice love" Emma said tilting her head to the side as she looked up at her daughter. "Yes mama, I can do it". "Good", she said rising, "Now give me a hug". Aria stood and hugged her mother. She felt like a little girl again and needed the embrace her mother gave. She was safe and warm. Nothing like a mother's love. "The moon is almost at the highest point. We need to be quick. We have about twenty minutes before the spell works", Cora said getting everyone to focus. They all moved to the circle and made a circle around it holding hands. Alec looked at Aria and she nodded to him so he and Alana could guide them to Grace. "Is everyone ready? Uncle Isaac?", Alec asked. "Yes I'm ready buddy", he said smiling at his nephew. They then all closed their eyes and were in Grace's room again. Grace was in the corner chanting.  "The bond that never breaks" when they arrived. Isaiah, Isaac, Aria and Paige was staring at her as Dorothy moved forward towards her. They knew that saying but they said it to each other. Aria and Paige thing. Isaiah and Isaac was confused as to why she was saying it repeatedly.  Emma and Cora began to set the room up for the transformation. Isaac was pulled out of his trance when Emma touched his back which made him jump. He was looking at her like she was about to do something but she just smiled at him. Isaiah saw him, approached from the other side and Isaac exhaled the breath he did not know he was holding. Grace was happy to see her family. "What do I need to do?", she was now in focus and ready to leave. "How did you get in here?", Dorothy asked. "I made it when they injected me the second time and I could not control what I was doing. It did not take long for me to do because one minute I was killing my own people and the next I was here. When I woke up  it was like a bad dream. The doctor was telling me to surrender to what he wanted me to do but you know me I'm a fighter. He did not like that I was disobeying him so he up the dosage which, had me in this place for three days. I lost so much time. I was still fighting him and most days I woke up not remembering where I was, to begin with. He thought I was playing until one of the nurses said it was true. So whatever I did to you", she pointed to Cora "I couldn't remember". "It is fine child we are here to save you", Dorothy said rubbing her back. "Yes I know but my memory was gone every time he injected me with the serum. When he up the dosage I would be out for days. Trying to remember what it was I was doing three or five days before. Escaping was not easy. I began writing down my thoughts. They helped until they found it and burned it in front of me. I had remembered talking to someone before but then it was gone. Somehow these beautiful twins found me, told me I looked just his mother and Auntie Paige", said stopped looking up at Aria and Paige. Emma was saying a spell to amend the circle from where they actually were sitting to the circle in Grace's room. By the time she was done, the moon was nice in the sky, shining brightly, they all joined hands then began to say the spell.  Dorothy was sitting in the circle with Grace because she knew that this process will would hurt Grace.  "Hang on sweetie. It's going to be painful", Dorothy said to Grace. With all their magic combine and a little help from the ancestors Grace was out after a loud bang and surge of energy pushed everyone back. The connection was gone and the room was dark. "Alec, Alana" Aria called for her children. "We're here mommy", Alana said from the right side of her but farther away. "Is everyone alright?", Asked Emma. They all said yes but no one heard Grace or Dorothy. Once the lights were on, they saw Dorothy was unconscious and Grace was nowhere in sight.
