**********During the Same Time as the Transformation**********
Darren was walking the walls checking in on everyone. Making sure that the day ran smoothly because the siblings were busy. Paige asked him to take over just incase the transformation took too long.
Because the day was going so well he choose to talk to Kat, to get information on the Society. It was only a matter of time before they found them and Darren actually wanted to go back to finish them off. He made his way to her cell and the guard greeted him with a nod, then open the door to get to the cells. She was in a glass cell that looked like a huge tube. No powers worked inside it. He hit the speaker button to get her attention.
"Kat", he said when she did not look at him.
She knew he was there, he saw it in her body language after her he hit the button.
"Go away Darren", she said not moving from her fetal position on the bed. She was staring at the wall for there was no windows.
"I need to speak with you. So get up and look at me", he waited for her patiently.
"Talk about what?", she asked still laying down.
"Well if you get up you will find out", he said tapping on the glass.
Kat began to sat up. Smiling to herself before turning to him. He really did not have to do much, she liked him. He was handsome and tall. Nice caramel brown skin and deep dark eyes. She wanted him to be mutant but he was a mere human. Only candy for the eye.
She looked at him and smiled. "Hey handsome".
"Do not start Kat. I need some answers please", he said forcing a smile.
"What are your questions?", she said now disappointed and pouting a little. She walked over to the glass, making circles on it, with her pointed fingernail.
"Let us start with easy ones. Who is the doctor? What are they injecting you with?" he asked.
"I am not being injected with anything. As for the doc, I do not know. He is father for he was the one who created me", she said annoyed that he wanted to talk about that. She barely liked the doctor.
"So you do not know his name?", he asked her sighing. She better not be playing with me, he thought.
"I just said father", she said rolling her eyes. She moved away from the glass and sat on the bed.
"Okay and you are sure they were not injecting you with anything?", he asked again.
"Look, your friends are the ones who keep injecting me with stuff. Sedating me. Go ask them since you are so concerned about what I'm being injected with" she was done with this conversation.
She knew he was right. She was being injected and whoever they were keeping at bay definitely was fighting back. She wanted to know but she knew it was not important enough because she had the upper hand and that's all that matter.
"Well do you know how old you were when you were taking?" he ignored her comment.
"Do you listen? I said he created me. How will I know about being taking if I was already there", he was pissing her off now.
"The Society take mutants and kill them if they are no use to them. You were taking, I am sure of that. Did you know they were killing your people?" he asked interrogating her further.
"I was doing the most killing so yea I knew" she said as if it meant nothing.
"And you were okay with killing your people?", he was taunting her.
"I am trained to not care and frankly I still do not. I just do what I am told", she said shrugging her shoulders.
Just as Darren was about to ask her something else, Kat grabbed her head as if it was hurting.
"Kat are you alright?", he asked.
"Ahhhh" was her response.
She fell back on the bed, still holding her head. Something was wrong. Darren walked out the room to get the guard.
"Do you know how long she has been doing that?" he asked the guard.
"She does anything for us to let her out sir", the guard said.
Darren nodded, went back to hit the speaker button, to talk to Kat.
"Come on Kat do not start playing games now. I thought we were getting along", he stopped to take a breath. When she did not respond he continued "I have more questions and you need to answer them".
"f**k you Darr-ahhhhhhh" it came out as a forced laughed.
Kat did not understand what was going on with her. Her head felt like it was about to explode. Holding her head was not helping but she did not know what else to do. She ended up falling to the ground, landing on her hands and knees. The cooliness from the ground was helping her a little. She laid flat down.
"Kat are you forreal right now?", Darren asked.
He could not believe what she was doing and it looked pretty real to him. He remembered what the guard said, she cannot be serious, he thought.
Kat was still writhing in pain. She wanted it to stop so badly, she began chanting "Stop stop stop" she said in between breaths. "Make it stop".
Darren went back out to the guard, "What the hell is wrong with her?", he looked to the guard who was now surprised.
"I never seen her like this sir. She always did other things to get our attention but this is new", he said shaking his head. "What do you want me to do?".
"Stay out there, if anything looks or sounds suspicious you come back to get me", Darren said looking him start in the eye.
The guard nodded then went back to his post. Kat was still doing the same thing. She would stop for about thirty seconds then she was back yelling and chanting. She was balled up on the floor now after taking her pants and shirt off. Obviously she was hot. Darren sat there, waiting to see what would happen next. Darren knew magic and powers did not work back here. So how was she in pain? How was she hot. It was very cool in here and the air conditioning was working just fine, he thought.
About forty-five minutes have passed and Kat was levitated into the air. She was no longer holding anything. She was just dangling in the air. Nothing was happening and Darren stood touching the glass. He wanted to go inside but was not sure what was going on. After about ten minutes of levitation Kat was now lowering back to the floor. She hit the floor with a thud, when she was mid-air.
"Kat, are you okay?", Darren yelled.
When she did not respond he called her again, "Kat". She was still not responding. He started to tap the glass. He was not going in there if he did not need to.
About five minutes later, Kat began to stir. "Mmmmm", she moaned out.
"Kat can you hear me?", Darren asked now that she was coming to.
"Who is Kat?", Kat asked muffled.
"I cannot hear you. What happened to you?", Darren was now moving to the other side to see why she did not get up yet.
Kat finally sat up, holding the left side of her head and looked at Darren.
"Who are you?", she asked confused.
"What?", Darren said frowning.
"Who is Kat and who are you?", she said, pointing at him.
"You forreal?", Darren was now confused himself.
He looked at her and tilted his head to the side. Something seem different. Her voice was softer and more unsure. Her eyes even looked different.
She stood and said "Can you let me out of this? My telepathic link is not working and I am trying to reach my sisters", she said.
"You do not have any sisters or any family Kat", Darren scoffed, looking at her like she had two heads.
"My name is not Kat and I have two sisters now let me out", she said boring her eyes into his.
Darren laughed at her. Shook his head then walked out to get the guard. When he walked out the guard was gone. It was so much commotion going on and no one told him about it. Did Kat do this? How could she, he was with her the entire time. He started walking towards the noise and saw Isaac carrying an old lady to the infirmary, with Paige right behind him.
He stopped once she reached him "Paige what is going on? What happened?", he asked with concern.
"We found Grace but then lost her again. Our grandmother got hurt in the process", she said and began walking again following Isaac.
Aria and Isaiah was walking up to Darren, "Where have you been?", Aria asked, looking behind her to the area where arguing was taking place.
She and Isaiah had defused it and everyone was clearing. Some were still lingering to see if anything else happen.
"I was talking to Kat but now she seems different I don't know". Darren said, shaking his head.
"Well, can you check on my twins, they are in a shield in my room. I do not want them to be alone" she said.
"Sure I w-", Isaiah cut Darren off.
"You said Kat was different? In what ways was she different?", he was curious.
"She said she was not Kat and her tone was softer, like nice almost. Her eyes were different too, more hazel, like yours but without so much of the other colors", Darren said realizing something. "She said she was trying to contact two her sisters telepathically", he stopped but started again in no time. "Ohh my-".
Isaiah and Aria cut him off "She's Grace". They took off running to the powerless cells.
Darren wanted to go after them but he went to the twins. They were more important to him anyway. Anything Aria needed she would get. The twins liked him and he appreciated that. Maybe their mother would begin to as well.
