Chapter 15: Madison, Where Are Your Clothes?

2261 Words
"Where's the rest of this dress?" Lucas tugs on my dress as I push his front door open and step into his apartment. I left earlier with him, even though Zak called us losers for leaving early, Jamie and Dean stayed behind with James and Jake. I'm sure Zak and Christopher won't be leaving anytime soon and neither will the rest of them. "I'm hungry." I say as he closes the door behind him and I take of my heels and throw my purse onto the counter. "Do you still have that ice cream from last week?" I question as I pad barefoot over to his freezer. "Now who's the child?" He teases with a raised brow and I roll my eyes. He throws his keys and wallet onto the counter and I grab the tub of ice cream and a spoon before climbing onto the counter. "You're enjoying yourself?" He asks as I take a bite of the chocolate mint ice cream. It's not something I would normally eat but I'm drunk and hungry, anything will do right now. "Very much." I mumble out with a mouthful of ice cream. I push the tub aside and reach out for his black sweater before pulling him to me. He raises a brow and stands in between my legs as I place my lips against his and his hands move to grip my hips. "Your bed. We need to go to your bed. Now." I whisper against his lips and he pulls me off the counter as I wrap my legs around his waist. By back meets his soft bed as he reaches over and switches his bedside light on. I moan against his lips as my fingers slide to the hem of his sweater and I pull it up. "Take it off." I mumble against his lips and he breaks the kiss before reaching over to the back of his sweater and pulling it over his head in one swift movement. I throw it somewhere in the room and be places his body in between my thighs and his lips move to my neck as he begins to suck on the soft skin. "For f**k sakes, I've missed you." He mumbles against my skin and I let out a soft moan. "Did you miss me?" He pulls back and gives me a look. "Only a little." I say as I shove his head back and force his mouth onto my neck. His laughter vibrates against my skin but he continues his sweet torture against my neck. I moan when his teeth latches onto my skin and a second later he pulls back and places his lips onto mine. I fiddle with his belt and just as I unbuckle it he pulls back. "No, no." He says against my lips and I give him a confused look. "Not tonight." I have never come across a man who's turned down an opportunity like this before. That can only mean one thing. "Do you not want to, with me?" I can't help the crack in my voice when the words leave my lips. "No f**k. I do, I want a lot." He says before brushing his lips against mine and pulling back. "But you're drunk and I would very much like for you to be sober when it happens. You have to remember everything, not just bits and pieces." He says with a smile and I shove him off me before standing to my feet, well at least trying to. "I'm not drunk." I say and a second later my stomach churns. I'm racing to his bathroom with him calling out for me and I pull open the door before switching the light on and running to the toilet. I pull up the lid and the contents of my stomach come right out in one go. Lucas is at my side pulling my hair back in all his shirtless glory as I throw up. He has a smug look on his face when I pull away and flush the toilet, it's not one of my best moments and I wish he wasn't around to see it. "There's a spare toothbrush in the cabinet above the sink, you can find something to change into in my closet." He says with a smile as he tucks a piece of my hair behind and I wipe the side of my mouth with the back of my hand. He places a kiss on my forehead before he leaves the room and I'm thankful because it's an embarrassing moment to throw up in a guys toilet you met just a few weeks ago. I stand to my feet and walk over to the sink, I take a look at my pale complexion in the mirror in front of me and make a mental reminder to never drink vodka straight out of the bottle again. I find a grey sweater from his closet and it's the first thing I grab before my stomach begins to ache. I slip my dress off and slide the sweater on before taking a seat on his bed and let out a groan. He walks back into the room with a glass of water in his hand and hands it to me along with two pain killers. "Thank you." I mumble as he picks up his sweat shirt from earlier on and throws it into the hamper. He removes his belt and disappears into his closet. "Get some rest, I'm going to take a shower." He announces as he walks out and straight into his bathroom. I wander off out his room and dig through my purse on the counter looking for a hair tie. I pull my hair up into a ponytail and walk back into the room with my phone in my hand. When I slide into his bed and under the covers I unlock my phone to find a text from Dean informing me that he made it home safely along with Jamie. I reply with a thumbs up because I have no energy to type a message. I place my phone on the side table and turn of the light before drifting off to the soft sounds of the shower running. The next morning when I wake up Lucas is on his back and my head is on his chest. Suddenly his soft snores are too loud and the light bouncing into the room from the outside is too bright. I let out a soft groan as I pull away from him and he shifts under me. When I step out of his shower after brushing my teeth and washing my face I see he's still asleep. I decide to not disturb him and close the curtains before slipping out of the room. "Madison, where are your clothes?" Zak yells from the kitchen and my eyes widen in shock as a soft yelp escapes my lips. "Zak, what are you doing here?" I whisper shout as I hide behind the wall and he let's out a soft laugh. I race back into Luke's room and find a pair of shorts in his closet. I slip my legs through them and pull them up before tugging on the draw strings to tighten them around my waist. When I walk back into the kitchen Zak has a cup of coffee in front of him and one across from him. I take a seat on the barstool across from him and he throws me a smirk. "So, you and Luke hey?" He says with a wink and I roll my eyes. "It's not like that." I take a sip of my coffee and he shakes his head. "You don't have to explain yourself to me. That's your business." I can't help but notice the similar ring he has on his pinky finger and I wonder if all three brothers have the same ring. We sip on our coffee in silence and I'm thankful because my head is pounding. "You're early." Lucas snaps from the hallway and Zak spins around to face him. His eyes meet mine as he walks over to us in his black sweatpants and nothing else, he grabs my coffee and takes a sip before Zak speaks. "Your nephew is waiting for you to take him to the zoo." Zak says and Lucas rolls his eyes. "That kid never forgets anything, I swear." He downs my entire cup of coffee and I give him a glare which he chooses to ignore. "Did you need something?" "Chris sent me to fetch a box from storage." He says and Lucas nods, it's almost like they are speaking a language that only the two of them understand. "So you decide to help yourself to my coffee first?" He sarcastically asks and Zak flashes him the finger before downing his coffee and standing to his feet. "Hunter is expecting you at ten." He says as he grabs the box from the couch and gives me a smile. "See you around Madison." He teases and I roll my eyes. Him taunting me is wearing off and that's how I know that I am getting too comfortable with Lucas, because Zak's teasing doesn't flood me with embarrassment. "Fancy going to the zoo with me today?" Lucas asks as Zak closes the door behind him on his way out. I spin around in my seat and give him a smile before he leans down and brushes his lips against mine. "I've got some errands to run today." I say with a smile as I pull away from him. His phone buzzes on the counter and he grabs it before I see someone named Jefferson flash across the screen. He holds up a finger and disappears into his office or supply closet and I decide to explore his spare bedroom. It’s a massive room with expensive things everywhere and I begin to wonder how it must feel to live like this. I was raised in a small middle class household, money was never a problem we were comfortable, but I could never live in a house or apartment this big all by myself. When I walk out the bathroom in my dress from last night Lucas is still in his office. I pull my hair into a bun and take a seat on his bed before grabbing my phone and calling Drake. "Hello." He answers on the second ring and he's not one for sleeping in until after ten. "Hey, I was wondering if you wanted to go run some errands with me today and have lunch?" It's been a while since him and I hung out together and I want to make sure he is okay, because he seemed pretty worried about me during these past few days. When Drake worries it's bad, he tends to overthink and makes himself physically sick. I don't like the idea of him getting sick because of me. "We'll go to my dad for lunch. I need to fetch some paperwork from him for Brooke so we can just have lunch with him and Lorie." He says and I agree, it has been a while since I've seen Mr Harper and Lorie. "We'll leave at ten thirty." I say as Lucas walks into the room and he quickly agrees. I have at least an hour and a half before then and it should give him enough time to get his affairs in order. He agrees and hangs up as I throw my phone back onto the night stand and Lucas hops onto his bed and tackles me down with him. I let out a soft laugh as he adjusts his body in between my legs and hovers over me. "Who was that?" He says as he balances himself with his hands on either side of my head. "It was Drake, we were making plans for today." I run my fingers over his broad shoulders and he raises a brow to give me a questioning look. "Did you guys date or something?" The jealousy is evident in his tone and I can't hold back the smile that makes it's way to my lips. "Never, I've known him since middle school. We've just always been close friends." I try to kiss him but he pulls away and I give him a hurt look. "I just find it hard to believe that he spent twenty something years of his life being your friend and only your friend." I push back the strands of his hair that have escaped his tiny ponytail and give him a smile. "That's because not everybody is a pervert like you." I say and his fingers attack the side of my stomach. I yelp in surprise as he tickles me and I can't contain my laughter. "Stop." I yell but he doesn't stop his assault. "Take back your words and say you're sorry." He says as he continues to tickle me. "I'm sorry. I take back what I said." I say in between my laughter and he holds his end of the deal and stops. "That wasn't very nice." I say as his eyes meet mine. "I never claimed to be nice Madison Evans." He says as he captures my lips with his before I can say anything else. My feelings for Lucas Parker are growing every time we spend more and more time with each other and my biggest fear at this point is having all these feelings for him and having my heart broken in the end.
