Chapter 13

            I went out of the room and followed the red and pink petals down the stairs toward the pool. I see Gin wearing a black and white tuxedo with a bow tie. He looks very handsome and he is smiling back at me like he has won a lottery.

Wow!!! Gin thought as he was all smiles. Oh my God!, my Alex is so beautiful, no, hot, sexy. Gin is now sort of dreaming, hallucinating, intoxicated with the beauty he is seeing, the love he is feeling, the desire he has kept for a very long time that is being awakened by this beautiful soul.

I wonder what she is thinking now?! Gin added while Alex is walking toward him.  Will she love my surprise, the car she always wanted? Will she accept me as Gin though I am Jodie, her long lost love and baby. Hmm! Gin sighed breathing heavily, now diverting his attention back to Alex.

Wow! Gin you did  all of this?!, Awwe!, it is….so beautiful, wonderful!!!...Alexa said teary eyed. I just want to apologize the other night in the tub…I want to…..Gin explained but Alexa cut through. No, it isn’t your fault, I assumed you like me or you wanted me why I was willing to give myself to you that night. Well! I really wanted to thank you for everything you did to help me, from the days I was grieving from Edmund’s passing until now, Alexa said with sincerity. Yes! I know and I wanted to, if only knew, how I feel about you Alex, A…..but before that I want this to be a surprise before I leave to Paris. But here it goes….Gin added very excited with his surprise. Tarahhhh!!!, the car Alexa ordered and it is a top-down Volkswagen in shiny black color. Ha ha!, Alexa almost tripped running to check on the car. OMG! Gin, this… this…is amazing! Wowoooww! Where did you…Alexa trying to hold her excitement and all. Well! I have a friend in the car industry in Germany and I asked for his help. They did the paper works for it to be delivered here in three days. But luckily they had one here in Manila, so I grabbed the opportunity to buy it for you. With the money you gave me, I just added a little more! Gin said with such gusto, winking at Alex as he says, So!, do you like it?  He asked. Like it!, I love it! Alexa said happily walking to Gin. I’m so happy I can….kiss….you, Alexa added while hugging Gin and…. both kissed. Gin held Alexa’s chin and kissed her gently on the lips while Alexa kissed him back, and the kisses deepened, their tongues intertwined. Gin, is almost  about to drown with Alexas kisses…Hmmm!...Alex, that is so remarkable and you are so beautiful….Gin added touching Alexa’s face. We can continue with this later, you must be very hungry, since you haven’t eaten since last night. Alex as if mesmerized then realized, Yeah!, my stomach seems in a revolt now! He he!, she said laughing. Okay! So I prepared your favorite, pasta, and wine of course. Let’s eat then!, Gin said while escorting Alexa toward the table. Even though there’s no music as if both, Gin and Alexa can hear a sweet and romantic melody, or maybe they are just hearing their hearts singing.

It was a lovely night, Gin and Alexa talked for hours and happily discussed many things, from the things they like to politics and gender or racial discrimination issues.

So you could love a trans man or a girl, lesbian who turned into a man? Gin asked seriously. Alexa’s brows twisted, not exactly understanding what Gin is getting at with the question. Hmm! Uh! I don’t know but if I love her, even if she is a transgender, I would, I guess! Why do you ask anyway?, Alexa added curiously. Oh! Nothing, I just want to hear your views on it, it is a very delicate yet controversial issue now a days! Gin added trying to hide his real motive. Okay! Gin, thank you, I really had fun and the surprise, wow!, I can’t believe you have doen all this for me!, I don’t know what to say!, Alexa said moving closer to the table and reaching for Gin’s face with both palms and kissed him like a smack on the lips. Oh!!! Gin said speechless. I am tired and sleepy Gin I want to rest and let’s talk tomorrow? Alexa added, looking tired and sleepy. Okay dear! We will. Sleep well!, my princess, Gin said kissing Alexa’s hand. Hmm! Alexa bowed a little and ran along up to the master’s bedroom. Alexa is so beat, she  just slid on her pj’s very quick and fell on the bed, slept without cleaning herself up. Yet one can see Alexa’s happiness, her face is lit and smiling on her sleep. Gin, on the other hand can’t sleep. He is now taking off his tuxedo from the tie to the suit, polo shirt down to his shoes, socks and all. He goes to the tub to bathe and keep still in there for a while. It is a good thing he already put water and soaps in the tub, actually he prepared it for Alexa and him if situations gets heated up and they will need to make love here or elsewhere romantic, he is prepared. What was he thinking, asking Alexa about transgenders and all? Gin thought worriedly. How can I tell Alexa that I am Jodie? This is not going to be easy…Gin added while bathing and now relaxing his body and mind, he lay still and quiet, not thinking anymore. I need to rest my mind now, or I’m going to go crazy…Gin said breathing heavily and shutting his eyes out saying, I’ll worry about this tomorrow.

Alexa wakes up feeling happy and she can’t stop smiling. Hi hi! Gin is a gentleman. Then she thinks of Edmund and Jodie. Now she feels sad and confused. How can I do this, Edmund just died a week ago and now I’m having a fling with a gorgeous producer. Oh no! How can I be so selfich! Edmund loved  and adored me. And now I’m doing this to him, to Jodie!

Alexa now is crying, sobbing and feeling guilty for kissing Gin and falling in love, again. She walks out of the room toward the terrace, breathing the air, cooler than it felt earlier. The atmosphere was steamy at dinner, or I just feel hot and needing Gin!..No, not again!...Alexa added trying to forget about Gin.

He has been in my mind ever since that noght that he kissed me and made out at the parking lot. Alexa now touching her lips, thinking, reminiscing Gin’s touch, kisses and ….Alex, stop! She said while closing her eyes and opening them again, looking at the moon. The moon is so big, beautiful and alone…like me. Alexa thought, now pittying herself and crying her heart out. However thinking that Gin is there for her, Edmund and Jodie who loved her unconditionally, are still here to protect and love her from heaven. As she stood in the terrace of her new home over-looking the sun as it rises in Antipolo’s high, mountainous neighborhood. It is as if telling her, “ a new day is coming”. So I inhaled the new beginning with great possibilities and positive vibe and exhaled negativity, my mistakes, my fears…Hmm!

Gin wants to come and join me on my visit with my family but he needed to book our flight for Paris on Sunday now, since I asked for a day or two rest after everything that happened, funeral services and all. I arrive at my birth home and my dad, mom and Shane hugged me all together. Oh! I have missed them so much. We ate my favorite food, lasagna, mashed potatoes, salads, all home cooked meals, that I missed so much from my mom’s cooking. We talked and talked about many things, my travels and their adventures. And they also talked about the experiences after my mom’s heart surgery. I had fun and I missed my room too. Shane has grown fast and we talked about crushes and clothes. Funny how, I disliked her naughtiness when she was younger, but appreciates her keenness and sensitivity now that she has become a teen ager. Hmm! How time flies and me… as if I’m still stuck in my own little world, tower, where I wish my prince charming would one day rescue me and sweep my feet romantically. I was listening intently, while Shane, shows me her paintings, it is her new talent among others like ballet dancing. I love her so much, watching her now makes me think, and wish, I want a baby girl when I get married. Baby girls are so much fun to be with, as if realizing this just now. I wonder! Well, need to find my prince charming, where ever he is!...Ha ha!, I said silently laughing, when… Yup! I wish you’re not laughing at my painting? Shane asked when she is showing me her forrestty and serene feel painting. Oh no! sorry, I just remembered when you were smaller, and how I get irritated when you barge into my room and piss me off with asking too many questions. But I miss that and I love you little sis! Alexa said sincerely while hugging Shane tightly. Yeah, I know, and I ‘m sorry, Shane said smiling. And I’m sorry too about Edmund!, she added hugging Alexa more tighter, “I love you too!” Every one said their goodbyes and I told them that Gin and I will be travelling back to Paris on Sunday. I also added that Gin wasn’t able to join us because he needed to book our flights and all. My family understood and are happy to hear Gin is accompanying me back to France.  My dad said, Gin is a great guy. Yes he is very, indeed, me grinning naughtily and at the back of my mind saying, he is also a good kisser and magnificent in bed, I bet. What am I thinking? Alex, stop imagining and day dreaming about him. I rest my case with a smile. However, thinking about my past, I wish I could turn back time when Edmund’s still alive. I was so selfish still inlove with Jodie when Edmund’s always been there for me supporting me all throughout the years grieving her passing. Edmund didn’t mind. He was a self-less gentle man who was always there for me when I needed him. And due to his kindness and unconditional support, I totally gave in and loved him in the process, I thought crying with tears of regret of Edmund’s death. As I stood in the terrace overlooking the sunset of Antipolo Hills, a mountainous neighborhood, where houses are farther apart from each other. “The sun setting is as if telling me that my sufferings will soon be over and that a new dawn, a new beginning will soon come”. I inhaled positivity, the fresh air and possibilities, and exhaled the bad vibes, heartbreak and my fears in, moving on, finding new love maybe and starting anew, not knowing what my future is and where my tomorrow lies ahead of me…Hmmm!
