“Emmalyn’s POV”
When the cab stopped in the lane of our gang’s cave, I hopped out of it after paying for the driver.
Even though we say it is a cave, it was an 11th floor building. Security was tight.
I went inside and took the elevator. Each second passed in the elevator felt like months. I was feeling restless about seeing the goddamn man.
When I reached the floor designated for our leader, I contacted him.
“Hello! I am here,” I spoke while catching my breath. Immense force was eating inside of me, making it hard to even breathe.
“Enter the DR,” he commanded, and hung the call.
DR means dark room. Where we torture our enemies. It was on the same floor. I ran towards the DR entrance.
I knocked on the door and shouted my passcode. Soon, Micheal opened the door.
I wasn’t surprised to see almost all the senior gangsters of our cave were gathered.
I scanned the room through my eyes but couldn’t get to see Maya. I chose not to get bothered about it and focus on the devil.
I inched closer to the man named Trenten, both of his hands were tied and hung to the ceiling. His face revealed marks of torture.
“Do you f*****g know who I am?” My eyes were cold. My voice was deep.
“I am the daughter of those two who you killed earlier today,” my eyes were filled with tears. It wasn’t out of sorrow. It was rage.
“I can sense that. But I don’t regret it.” Trenten chuckled.
“You can’t even touch me. I am...,” he couldn’t finish his sentence when Micheal attacked him.
He punched Trenten’s face. Soon, drops of blood started to fall from his nose.
Micheal wasn’t satisfied. He punched at Trenten’s abdomen, causing him to vomit a large amount of blood.
I fisted his hair and made him look into my blazing eyes. There were no signs of worry in his eyes.
“Tell me. What was the reason you had to kill my parents? They never bothered you,” I bellowed fiercely.
“Well, I spoke nicely and softly to them. And offered a huge sum of money. In return, I wanted the land where your small house lies. But they rejected it,” Trenten said. His eyes held no grief.
“I wanted to build a casino there. The spot is awesome.” Regardless of the situation, Trenten kept smiling.
“But those two aged ones were kept rejecting.”
“You see, no one can ever reject my proposal,” he declared proudly.
Tears of anger rolled down my cheek. I couldn’t believe how inhuman he was.
“So you killed them?” Micheal yelled and attacked him. Soon other members joined him and started torturing him with whatever tool they got.
“Stop it.”
“He will die!”
“Micheal, stop always being a monster,” I kept shouting. Not in the defense of my parent’s murderer. But I wasn’t inhuman like them.
