“Emmalyn’s POV”
“I have been chasing you since you left me unconscious. I would definitely take revenge on it,” even though he spoke while chuckling, it literally gave no alert of danger.
“So you are an angel sent by God to help me escape?” I spoke mockingly.
“Speed up. They are nearing us,” I yelled looking at the inhuman face cuts who were firing at us.
“Just a few more turns. My men will join us,” Colsen assured.
During the entire horrible journey, Maya was sitting motionless. The grief she got from Micheal’s death was clearly visible on her face.
The way Colsen had promised, his men joined us, fill in a total of ten cars. They were fully armed and numerous in total.
They handled the situation professionally by blocking the enemies’ trucks and letting us escape from their eyes, showing how well trained they were.
Driving on the busy roads, when Colsen took a turn in a different direction, Alex spoke confusedly, “where are you going? It’s not the address that I provided.”
“I want Emmalyn to come with me. You can go afterward. By the time we reach my mansion, your taxi would be present there,” Colsen replied giving me shocks.
Hell, Nah. When would I be able to flee from all these?
“No way. I won’t ho with you,” crossing both my arms around my chest, I refused.
“Yes, way. You have no choice,” he spat giving no attention to my words.
“Please don’t do this. There are people who need her help,” Alex begged to show how concerned he was.
“Could you please explain it? I have been hearing the same dialogue for the past 2 hrs,” ignoring the seriousness on his face, I shouted.
“All I can say is I am your brother. And the rest will be explained by your biological parents,” he disclosed fluently.
“Whaaaat?” I was shocked to hear his statement.
“What you even know about me? I have no one. My parents left me.” I gulped as the words rolled out of my mouth.
“Trust me. You have your biological parents and now their lives are in danger. Sorry to say but it’s because of you,” he spoke while kneading his face.
“Why all of a sudden? Didn’t they knew about me when they abandoned me?” I yelled bot wanting to trust in his words.
“They have their reasons and explanations. Please save my parents. I beg. I cannot do it alone. I need your help.” He clasped his hand while his eyes were moist due to the accumulation of tears.
“Turn the car and take me to the certain address,” I ordered knowing the depth of the case. If they had anything to explain, I would be deciding my next step only after listening to it.
