“Emmalyn’s POV”
“There she is,” a man from the rival’s team show us and shouted while disclosing the driver was indeed talking the truth.
“We will come and get it later. Please let’s leave. I have a lot to know about your role in my life,” I begged while clasping my both hands.
The goons were fully armed, giving us no chance to escape.
“Just come. I will help you to get your taxi back,” after strenuous efforts, he finally agreed to come along. It’s when our eyes fell on a car which stopped just beside us.
Lowering the tinted glass window, he revealed his face. It was the guy who first kidnapped me.
Was he the one behind all these? But he was acting super cute. Hell! I almost forgot how I treated him.
I froze on my steps as the thoughts crossed my mind.
“Need some help? Come on! Get in,” his manly voice drew me out of my thoughts causing me to snap my head towards the goons who were pacing towards us.
One thing was sure. Despite they killed the gang members, they wanted me alive. Or else, they would have killed me by now.
When I finally decided to get inside the car, Maya and the other man was already in it. Wasting no more time, I bulged inside of it.
“s**t. I forgot the gun inside your damn taxi,” I cursed before biting my tongue. Without giving a damn to my words, he began driving the car.
“Let it be. A gun won’t cost more than our lives. I will help you get it back,” despite the tension, the taxi driver spoke huskily while mimicking my previous dialogue.
“Why didn’t any of you told me your names? Or you did but I forgot?” Digging my fingertips inside my hair, I began scratching my sculpt out of confusion.
“I am Colsen. I guess I told you before,” the one who kidnapped me earlier mentioned while focusing his gaze on the rear mirror and winked an eye at me.
How on earth would I remember if he even had told me? All these things happening was beyond my acknowledgment.
“And you? Explain to me everything regarding why the goons are after me!” Commanding a harsh tone, I directed my sight at the young taxi driver.
“I am Alex,” he replied.
“Tell me the whole thing,” I spat looking in his dark orbs.
“There are your people who need your help...,” his words were cut short as a bullet got hit on the window glass of the car.
Witnessing the sight, my breathing got frozen for a couple of seconds. Nevertheless fear invaded inside my mind, I looked at the window. There was no damage to it.
“Don’t worry. It’s bulletproof,” Colsen’s words gave me some relief. Turning my head, I looked at the truck, which was following us.
“Did you know anything regarding all these? How did you come here all of a sudden?” I asked while frowning.
