Hell In Heaven

“Even if it makes people uncomfortable, I will love who I am.” “Genevieve, wake up. You’re gonna be late. You need to start getting ready” Molly says after knock on my closed room door.  She must think I’m still sleeping but I couldn’t sleep last night. I was too excited to rest properly, today is a big day for me. Today is the day I get tested to see which position would be assigned for me and if I was worth getting a set of wings. There’s three stages to go through to pass. I’ve been waiting for this day my whole life. When molly told me about it as a little kid I got so excited that I couldn’t stop asking questions about it. That’s how molly got assigned the job of taking care of kids. You see us angels we are created by god as little babies and then our care taker will take us and take care of us. And molly is my care giver, that’s we call them.  I open the door as molly knocks on it again letting her know that I’m ready and I’ll be out in a bit. As I close the door, I take a deep breath to calm my nerves. With one last look in the mirror making sure nothing is out of place. I step out. I see molly standing there waiting for me and I give her the biggest smile ever.  “So I’m guessing you’re excited?” She says smiling with me “Of course I’m excited, I’ve been waiting for this day for my whole life.”I say as I start jumping around showing how excited I am to do this.  “Am I going to talk to god today molly?” I asked her as we were walking our way to the arena where the tradition is held. “No honey you won’t be talking to god anytime soon unless you get the place of a messenger and even then you would have to be in a high status. “ she informs me  That makes me sad I was hoping to talk to him. Nobody gets to talk to him around here, why is that? I don’t see how fair that is? I pout and sulk. Molly shakes her head at me looking amused. Why is she amused about this I’m actually sad. I wanted to talk to him. As soon as I see the arena I start jumping in place and forget all about why I was sad. As we walk through the decently big doors, I see lots of angels there and get awestruck by all the angels that are flying over the tall walls and landing in smoothly. At a day like this no little kids are allowed to come through because of a big risk of something bad happening. Okay Genevieve, this is where we separate. You need to go with the other angles that are getting tested today, an instructor will explain everything.” Molly says giving me a hug and going to sit  I go to the group of 18 year old angels waiting in line. There wasn’t much of us, this year was the smallest year because from what I heard it the year when destruction happened. From that day the role of a fighter became a thing to protect our home and our families and friends. So lost in my thoughts that I didn’t notice the line take a seat and I follow suit. It’s starting, the fairies light the fire and our leader after god-the one that gets to talk to god-is here. Everyone quite down when they see him and give him their full attention.  “Welcome my fellow angels, today is a very important day for our youngsters. Today is the day they get tested to decide their future. I pray they all pass and be welcomed in different positions. The test is simple, it’s three stages; first stage is protecting where an angel will be assigned a human that they will protect at all cost, the second stage is healing all of you have a power of healing, the powers reveal themselves when you turn 18 but first you have to find the thing that triggers them to use them. The third stage is the hardest; all of you have been trained to fight from a young age, some more skilled than others. There will be a monster for you to fight that will match you fighting skills. Beat him.  Whichever test you pass will be you’re position”  He stops for a second giving us a second to take all of that in and then continues. “Today there’s only 150 of you because of the unfortunate things that happened the year you were created but that’s not the point, you will be sent to earth to protect a human as said before. You will look like a human no one will be able to see you except other creatures which you will have to careful of, there will be no one there to protect you. You should not get distracted by anything, focus on the mission get it completed and pass. Now James please come up.” As he walks down the stairs towards our leader everyone gives him a round of applause.  As he reaches there he’s instructed to stand underneath the a flying angel. “The human that you will be assigned to is  Nial Johnsen, he’s a 13 year old that needs your protection. You need to protect at all cost and be careful while doing it to not be discovered or caught.”  As soon as he finishes light is emitted from the angel and like that he’s sent to earth where he will complete his missing and hopefully pass.  The last person to go up was me seeing as I was created the last, the human that was assigned to me is Aliya Mason. She’s 11year old and I will be protecting her for three months starting from now. As they are about to send me to earth I ask one last question. “Would I be able to contact anyone during the period of the test?” I ask curiously “ If anything happens just burst your bubble and we will alerted that you’re in the need of help but only do it in emergencies please.” Our leader Martin informs me.  I nod my head in understanding and close my eyes waiting to be taken to a place I’ve been waiting to see my whole life.  Thank you for reading Hope you enjoyed this chapter  Ghadeer
