Chapter 1
"So you're coming, right?" Lisa asked, talking on her cell while feeding her and Raiden's dog.
"Yes, I don't see why not. I haven't seen you in a while. It's in Concord, right? It's going to be quite a trip. Are you going to make me travel that far? I don't even know where the place is at." Jasmine stated.
Lisa sighed "Oh lord Jaz, if you weren't my best friend..."
"What!? You know I live in the mountains. Just tell me! I don't want to get lost...again." Laughed Jasmine. She had the horrible habit of getting lost. If it wasn't for GPS, she wouldn't be able to get anywhere. She walked around her room aimlessly as she spoke with her best friend.
"Ha very true...well truthfully, I can't even remember, but the place is called City Limits. You just...you know put the name on your phone and get the directions that way."
"Well, obviously, but here you are getting onto me about not knowing and you don't even know yourself. Nice Lisa."
"My bad... Jack come here...ah Jaz I have to let you go, Jack is going crazy running around everywhere, and I don't feel like chasing him around." Lisa exclaimed.
"Alright, go on ahead love you." Lisa said her goodbyes back and hung up the phone.
Jasmine walked to her room and into her walk-in closet looking for something to wear. She scrolled through her hangers, her fingers draping across sequins, leather, and satin. Tonight, she was hunting for something bold, something that would command attention. She paused, holding up a sleek, midnight-black dress, the fabric hugging her fingers like a secret promise. It was short, daring, with a slight shimmer that seemed to catch the light just right.
She stepped back to consider a fitted red jumpsuit that practically dared her to try it on, imagining herself slipping through the crowd, music thumping, lights flashing. There was a tension between elegance and edge, a blend of confidence and allure. Her lips curved into a grin as she held up a silver crop top and her favorite low-cut form-fitting jeans. As she pieced together the outfit, she could almost hear the beat of the bass, she could almost feel the tension leaving her body.
She would never wear anything that was in her mind 'slutty'. She might have the body for it, but it just wasn't her style. She had more of a tomboyish style than anything, all to Lisa's dismay, she was always trying to dress-up Jasmine. She threw her red fire engine hair into a ponytail and applied light makeup, she ran the mascara through her lashes and applied a light shine to her lips. Jasmine packed a small bag with clothes and her toiletries. She was ready to head out and make her 3hr trip.
This night was much needed.
As she was walking downstairs, she saw Dontae waiting for her. He nudged her leg and whined.
"Dontae everything will be okay. Our neighbor will come and feed you while I'm gone. I need to go out too, you know. I'm going to see Lisa and her boyfriend." She bent down and kissed his head.
He just looked up at her with those eyes that said 'don't leave me'. Jasmine smiled down at him and chuckled. You would have thought she was talking to a child, but he was her fur child. Her large black, white and brown Bernese Mountain Dog.
"Sorry Dontae, not this time, it won't work. Bye be good, and please don't give Ms. James a difficult time." Jasmine said as she was leaving and locked the door behind her, she inputted the code to the door, and messaged Ms. James the code to get in.

Raiden, Draco and Lisa, with a couple of their friends, finally arrived at the Club 'City Limits.'
"Man, this place is packed!" Draco said, looking around at everyone. The music was pumping loudly, lights dimmed, but with the beat of the music the techno music was beating like a heartbeat. They had light smoke roaming around the floor.
"I hope we will be able to find Jasmine in this crowd. She should be here already." Lisa said, looking around. They walked around people, the club packed inside and out, bodies gyrating without any inhibitions.
Draco looked toward the bar, trying to seek out his first conquest of the night, when he noticed someone at the bar alone. His heart rate jumped when he spotted her. She was beautiful with straight red hair in a high ponytail. She had a beautiful figure and a tight body. She seemed oblivious of the stares she was receiving.
"Damn Andy, look at that chick at the bar..." Draco said, trailing off as he stared at the women.
"Men!" Lisa said under her breath, shaking her head.
Raiden heard her and pinched her side. Lisa giggled and grabbed his hand, wrapping it around her waist as she kept looking around for Jasmine.
Raiden was nudged by Draco, and he subtly pointed to the women at the bar. He followed his gaze and he too took a deep breath. In that moment, everything around him quieted, a calm washed over him as he looked at her. He didn't know what was going on with his body. He felt Lisa move in his arms and reality came hitting him like a truck. He squeezed Lisa closer to his side and looked at his brother Draco. "Damn" he mouthed to him with raised eyebrows.
Draco chuckled at his brothers' reaction and nodded his head back to him. Once again, he found his gaze making its way back over to her.
Raiden felt guilt that he would feel that way with his girlfriend in his arms. He put it down to just being attracted to her, but he didn't understand why he felt his body and mind calm with just a mere glimpse of her. Without thinking, his gaze drifted over to her again. He noticed her looking around with a drink in her hand, and he had a thought, "Babe, what did you say Jasmine looked like again?"
"Well, it has been awhile, but last time, she had long red hair, tan skin, and a full figure. Why?" Lisa answered but still not looking at where everyone was looking at. She didn't notice that the group they were with were in shock, their mouths falling open while looking at HER.
Raiden cleared his throat. "Well...umm...is that her?" Raiden stuttered while pointing.
"OMG where? Yes it's her!" Lisa exclaimed excitedly. She looked back at the guys and started laughing at their expressions. "I..I...suggest you guys change those faces...because she hates it when guys act like this." Lisa said between laughter, she clutched her belly.
All the men immediately shut their mouths and came out of their trance.
"JAZ!" Lisa yelled. She started waving. She was so excited, it had been a long time since she had been able to see her best friend.
The women were like sisters. Their bond was effortless, a deep-rooted trust that went beyond words. They knew each other's quirks and moods as if they’d grown up under the same roof. Arguments never lasted long, one of them would always break the silence with a silly text, a peace offering in the form of shared laughter. They experienced school together, trials and error. Unfortunately, time did happen, and they ended up in different places, but either way, when they get together it's as if time has not passed at all.
"JAZ...HEY COCO!" Lisa yelled. Lisa smiled as she saw Jasmine looking around a bit confused. She knew that nickname would be successful in getting her attention. She started waving like a crazy person; Raiden chuckling at his girlfriend's exuberance. He knew they had a special relationship. He himself was excited in meeting this unique woman.
