--Colline
"Four against one? Not fair." Jennifer frowns. The twins growled as they ripped their shirts off and started to merge, but Jennifer stopped it. Holding both heads in each hand, before ripping them apart. The twins' merged body was thrown off the room. As it was me and Kali was left.
"Do you trust me?" Kali asks, "No, not really." I said. "You have to." She said as she grabbed me by the waist before spinning me around, hitting Jennifer by the side. Kali put me down as she said, "Get your claws ready beta." Jennifer looked at us both in anger, as she lunged at Kali, but Kali tumbled above her. I took this an advantage, slashing Jennifer in the face, and putting them deep into her stomach. Jennifer groans in pain as she said, "I really don't want to hurt you, Colline. But stay out of this." I felt powder being blown into my face. I coughed as bumped into the wall. I felt weak, my claws and fangs disappeared.
"That should stop your shifting." Jennifer says as she heals and turns to face Kali, as I inhaled more of the powder, I felt more weak and unable to move. My last vision was glass shards floating behind Jennifer and lunging them at Kali. Shards hit Kali as fell down to the ground, declaring her defeat. Then Jennifer gets close to Lydia, and I blacked out.
"Colline! Colline!" I was being shook awake. I opened my eyes, it was Derek. "Derek? You were supposed to get out of here." I said to him. "I heard Lydia scream. We came back. Are you okay?" Derek says. "I'm fine."
"You did this for me?" Derek the turns to Jennifer "For us. For anyone who's ever been their victim." Jennifer responds sweetly to Derek. "Stop talking to me like a politician. Stop trying to convince me of your cause!" Derek raises his voice. Jennifer rolls her eyes, "Fine, I'll convince you of someone else's. Scott. You can save his mother, Stiles's father."
"How?" Derek asks Jennifer "I need a guardian, And that's a role that can either be filled by the three parents I was forced to take or by you." Jennifer explains. "I can't help you. I'm not even an alpha anymore." Derek reasons. "All I need is for you to help me get Deucalion in the right place at the right time." Jennifer pleads. "You just killed three of them on your own. What do you need me for?" Derek counters.
"You haven't seen him at his strongest. I have. And If he's got Scott with him, I don't stand a chance unless I have you." Jennifer says. "Derek, don't trust her." Cora says. Derek looks at her and to me, I was still weak from what Jennifer blown in my face. "I have the eclipse in my favor, But the moon's only gonna be in the earth's umbral shadow for 15 minutes. That's the extent of my window. There's no decision to struggle with. Help me kill him, and the others live. Just help me." Jennifer continues.
Derek still was second-guessing. I felt my breathing slow down as well as my heartbeat. I felt like I was slowly dying. I coughed, as I felt black blood gush out. "Colline." Derek come nears me and tried to stand me up. "She won't die. She won't need to be healed or her pain to be taken away. The powder I gave her was kanima venom and a bit of mistletoe. It's just going to make her weak. She'll be fine after a few hours." Jennifer says.
Derek looks me in the eyes as he let go of my hand to go with Jennifer. I gripped tighter, as he turned to me. "Don't go." I breathlessly said. "I have to save your mom. And everyone else's parents. I have to do this. I'll be careful, okay?" Derek says to me. "I love you." Derek kisses my forehead as he let go of my hand. "Derek..." I said as I felt myself slip into darkness.
"Can you undo what Jennifer did to her?" A voice says, as I felt myself going back into consciousness. "She might be unable to shift fr a few days, the powder included mistletoe. Mistletoe is deadly, but Jennifer didn't made it for werewolves to die. Just to make it weak." Another voice replies, which I recognized was Deaton. I opened my eyes, on both of my sides were the twins, in breathing masks. I guess they were also badly injured when Jennifer ripped them apart.
"She's awake." Lydia whispers. I sat up on the cold metal table. "Careful." Deaton says. "With what Jennifer gave you, you might experience time to time blackouts. Like the ones earlier." Deaton explains. "Where's Derek and Scott?" I asked. "They went to the distillery. To face off Jennifer."
"I have to go." I said, setting off the table as I went for the exit. "You're not strong enough. Let Scott and Derek handle this-"
"I can't let them handle everything! I have to do something to save everyone." I said as I went for the door.
--Derek
"What are you doing?" Scott asks as Jennifer and I walked into the distillery. "This might be hard to believe, But I'm actually trying to help you." I responded. "Ooh, like brother against brother. How very American this is. Are you ready, Jennifer? Hmm? Did you gather your herbs, Pray to your ancient gods and your oak trees, Slit a baby's throat, perhaps? Should we show them why you needed to sacrifice nine innocent people Just to face me? Or is it 12 now?" Deucalion taunts Jennifer.
;
Almost minutes of fighting, it finally begun, the lunar eclipse. When Scott finally got a hold of Jennifer, he was second-guessing to kill Jennifer. "Kill her. Do it." Deucalion says to Scott. Scott didn't do it. "Now kill her. Your parents are dying. That storm you hear, she's burying them alive. It's her connection to the telluric currents. Kill her, and it ends." Deucalion says, angrily. "It won't end. Not with me. He'll have you kill everyone you love. It's what he does." Jennifer cuts in. "They're dying, Scott. Your mother and the parents of your best friends. Kill her now, and it's over. Become the alpha you're meant to be. Become a killer." Deucalion says.
"They're not dead yet." Scott says. "And who's going to save them, your friends?" Deucalion asks. "My pack." Scott says. "Maybe you just need a little guidance." Deucalion grabbed ahold of Scott's hands. Whilst Scott was straining himself from actually hurting Jennifer. "I forgot to tell you something. Something that gerard told me. 'Deucalion... isn't always blind.'" With saying that, Scott drops two flashbang arrowheads. Making me and Deucalion stand back a little by the flash. "The eclipse. It started." Deucalion says. "Oh, no." Scott whispers.
We all went back to our human form as the eclipse started. Jennifer was gone. But then there she was. In her scarred and battered form, she lunges at Scott and threw him across the room and tackled Deucalion to the ground and and banged his head across the cement floor. This just gave me an idea. I can't stop her, but I can make her weak, "Jennifer!" I called to her was she turned to face me. "He doesn't know." I said. "Know what?" She asks, fazed. "What you really look like. He knows the cost of bringing Kali into his pack, But he's never seen the price you paid." I explained. "No. No, he hasn't." Jennifer smirks as she turned to Deucalion, healing his eyesight.
"Turn to me. Turn to me!" Jennifer went back to her scarred form as Deucalion gained his eyesight back. She was about to end Deucalion. But Jennifer started to feel weak. She returned to her human form as she was about to fall down, I caught her in my arms as she was confused and asked, "What is this?" I told her, "Healing him made you weak, just like healing Cora did to me. You won't have your strength for at least a few minutes."
"Then you do it. Kill him." She urges. "No." I said. "What?" Jennifer says in a confused yet furious voice. "Like my mother used to say, I'm a predator. I don't have to be a killer." I said as my arms traveled to her neck and I strangled her. "Let them go." I said. But she was stronger at the minute, so she pushed into some boxes until I fell down and she started hitting me. Cheek by cheek. She then stopped and looked into my eyes and said, "Derek." It was the look of she didn't want to hurt me. She turned around as I regained my balance. She turned to me as she presses me up against something hard. She banged me many times as I felt myself get weaker, recalling to the times when Boyd and Cora slashed me so many times in the boiler room. But I felt myself get stronger as the moon returned to it's true form. Indicating that the lunar eclipse was over.
"Your 15 minutes are up." I said as I threw her on the floor. Scott recovers as he stood up and starts to lunge at Jennifer, but Jennifer tosses something into the air, it lands on the floor and it forms a perfect circle. Mountain ash. She spoke, "Like I told you, Derek, either you or the parents. Well, I guess I'll just have to take them now. In a few minutes, they'll be dead, and I won't need a lunar eclipse, even to kill a demon wolf."
Scott then tried to push past the barrier, as the barrier glowed blue. "You've tried this before, Scott. I don't remember you having much success."Jennifer says. But then, Scott's hands was already pushing past the barrier as Jennifer looked worried. As Scott's eyes shifted from gold to solid red. Scott was really a true alpha.
"How did you do that?" Jennifer asks, knocked on the ground. "I'm an alpha now. Whatever you're doing to cause this storm, make it stop, or I'll kill you myself. I don't care what it does to the color of my eyes." Scott says. "It won't change the color of mine, so allow me." Deucalion lunges at Jennifer.
But when Deucalion lunges at her, someone had already struck a stake through her heart. "That's for my mom."
Colline.
;
Jennifer groaned in pain, as Colline put the stake deeper into her heart. As she screamed in agony. "For Aiden and Ethan. For everyone you've ever put through agony." As Jennifer screamed, the storm ended, she was down in the ground. Her eyes wide open, but she dissolved into dust moments later, gone with the wind. Colline started to feel something weird about herself.
"Colline....your eyes." Scott trails off. "They're blue." Scott continues. "She's taken a life, Scott. Which made the color in her eyes change." Deucalion explains. "I thought that only works when you take an innocent one?" I say. "Nature must have considered it." Deucalion says.
"My mother told me you were a man of vision once." I say to Deucalion as were about to leave. "We're letting you go because we hope you can be that man again. But if you're not, then having your eyesight back won't matter, Because you'll never see us coming." Scott says, as us three both walk away.
"I have to go to save the others, Derek can she stay at your place for the night? Give her proper rest?" Scott says. "Sure, no problem." I say. "You take care, alright?" Colline says to Scott.
"You too, get some rest." Scott kisses her forehead as we part ways. We walked over to my car, Colline slid into the passenger seat as I slid into the driver's seat. "You could've been killed today." I say to her. "I know."
"And I could've lost my mind." I said to her. "I know." She whispers as I lean in to kiss her. Our lips collided as we both pulled away. Our eyes both glowed bright blue. "I love you." I say to her. "I know." She says as she smiles.
After a week, Cora and I decided to head back to South America, where she has been hiding ever since after the fire. "You sure you don't want to come?" I asked Colline. "I would if I don't have school. But I do. Take care, alright?" Colline responds. "You could always skip one year." I smile at her as I kissed her one last time. "Then my mom would've killed me." She says. "I'll see you soon." She adds.
I drove away, drove away from the love of my life. But maybe someday, just someday, we'll find our way back together.
