》 Colline "Being back in Beacon Hills was different. I was gone for four years. Living with my aunt in Washington for four years was something I have gotten used to. Right now, I'm going back to my mother and my older brother in Beacon Hills, California. It was a place that seemed so unfamiliar to me even though I have lived there for most of my life. It didn’t feel like home, anymore. The reason for my homecoming was that my aunt realizes that it wasn't 'right' for her to take me away from my family, even though she and my mom had a little bad blood because of my mom kicking out my dad, and just the whole separation process. Once she got over it, she sent me back to Beacon Hills. You could've guessed it, emotional farewells and of course, the famous piles of promises. "And right now, I'm standing in front of my family's doorstep. I nervously ring the doorbell and stand there. I hear some shuffling at the yell of, "I'll get it!" which sounded masculine. I take a deep breath before I came face to face with faces I haven’t seen in a long time. I am snapped out of my thoughts when the door was opened. "Hi, how may I help y-" He looks at me, almost like observing my features, and then realizing who I was. And I recognized him too. He’s my brother, Scott. “Colline?” He says, almost not believing that I was right in front of him right now. “Hi Scott.” I awkwardly wave at him. We stare for a few moments before he shut the door in my face, startling me. "Mom!" Scott screams from the inside. I hear some shuffling before a lady opens the door. I was just about to open my mouth then she hugs me. "Colline! I missed you so much my baby!" She said. And right there, I recognized she was my mom. hugged her back and said, "Hi mom." and smiled. “Sorry I slammed the door in your face; I didn’t know you were coming in today.” Scott opens his arms, and I wrapped him in an embrace as well. “I told you that she was coming days ago.” Mom says to him. “Feels like I never left.” I say, patting him lightly on the back. “ Scott smiles at me, “Glad you feel that way.” “Welcome home.”
